Job Title:Finance & Documentation Executive – Commodity Trading (Minerals &Metals)

Job Summary:
The Finance & Documentation Executive is responsible for managing financialoperations and trade documentation within a commodity trading environment,specifically in minerals and metals. The role requires strong attention todetail in contract review, Letter of Credit (LC) documentation, pre-shipmentprocesses, and full-cycle accounting using Zoho Books.

KeyResponsibilities:

1. Contract & Trade Documentation

• Review and verify customer contracts to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with agreed commercial terms.
• Handle and prepare Letter of Credit (LC) documentation in coordination with banks and trading partners.
• Conduct thorough pre-shipment document checks (e.g., invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, inspection reports).
• Ensure all trade documentation complies with international trade regulations and contractual obligations.

2. Financial Accounting

• Maintain full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
• Perform monthly closing of books and ensure timely preparation of financial statements.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
• Record and track all trading transactions accurately in Zoho Books.

3. Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare periodic financial reports for management review.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and audit requirements.
• Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and schedules.

4. Coordination & Support

• Liaise with traders, logistics teams, banks, and counterparties to ensure smooth transaction flow.
• Support management with financial analysis and documentation-related queries.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in commodity trading, preferably in minerals and metals.
• Strong knowledge of LC processes, trade finance, and international shipping documentation.
• Hands-on experience with Zoho Books (or similar accounting software).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Role Overview

KeyResponsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute the company’s long-term vision and strategic plan for mineral and metal trading activities.
• Identify new growth opportunities in upstream (mining investments/joint ventures), midstream (logistics & blending), and downstream (trading & distribution) segments
• Lead market expansion into new geographies and new commodities within the mineral and metals portfolio.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with mining companies, smelters, refineries, end-users, and financial institutions.

Trading & Commercial Excellence

• Oversee the entire physical trading desk for minerals and metals (spot, term contracts, offtake agreements)
• Ensure competitive sourcing, optimal pricing strategies, and profitable sales execution
• Drive risk management policies including hedging (futures, options, swaps), credit risk, and counterparty exposure
• Monitor global supply-demand dynamics, price trends, and macroeconomic factors affecting mineral and metal markets

Operational & Financial Oversight

• Ensure efficient logistics, shipping, and supply chain operations for bulk mineral and metal cargoes.
• Work closely with the CFO to deliver strong financial performance, working capital optimization, and profitability targets.
• Maintain disciplined cost control while scaling trading volumes and margins.
• Ensure full compliance with international trade regulations, sanctions, anti-corruption laws (FCPA, UK Bribery Act), and ESG standards.

Leadership & Organization Development

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global team of traders, analysts, operations, and support staff.
• Foster a performance-driven culture focused on integrity, innovation, and results.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, investor meetings, and with key stakeholders.
• Report regularly to the Board of Directors on performance, risks, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements& Qualifications

• Proven Experience: 10+ years of senior leadership experience in commodity trading, with at least 8–10 years specifically in minerals and metals (iron ore, base metals, or industrial minerals)
• Demonstrated success as CEO, Managing Director, or Global Head of Trading in a commodity trading firm, mining company, or major trading house.
• Deep understanding of global mineral and metal markets, pricing mechanisms, supply chains, and geopolitical influences.
• Strong track record in P&L management, risk control, and growing trading books profitably.
• Excellent negotiation skills and established network of relationships with miners, processors, and buyers worldwide.
• Thorough knowledge of commodity derivatives, hedging strategies, and trade finance instruments
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA or relevant advanced qualification preferred)
• Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages  are highly advantageous.

Job Title: Shipping Container Booking and Bulk Vessel Chartering – (Intern)

About the Role

We are lookingfor a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Container Booking and BulkVessel Chartering Intern to join our dynamic maritime logistics team. Thisinternship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in theglobal shipping industry, specifically in container booking operations and bulkvessel chartering.

You will supportthe chartering and operations teams in coordinating container shipments anddry/wet bulk vessel fixtures, while learning the fundamentals of internationalmaritime trade, freight markets, and logistics execution.

KeyResponsibilities

Container Booking Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and processing shipping container bookings (FCL & LCL) with major shipping lines (Maersk, MSC, CMA CGM, COSCO, Hapag-Lloyd, etc.)
• Coordinate with shippers, freight forwarders, and carriers for space confirmation, rate negotiation support, and booking amendments
• Monitor sailing schedules, cut-off times, and vessel ETA/ETD
• Prepare shipping instructions, bill of lading drafts, and required documentation
• Track and update container status (empty pick-up, loading, in-transit, discharge)
• Support in resolving operational issues such as rollovers, shortages, or demurrage/detention disputes

Bulk Vessel Chartering Responsibilities:

• Assist in market research and data collection for bulk vessel chartering (dry bulk: Panamax, Supramax, Handymax, Capesize; wet bulk if applicable)
• Help prepare Request for Quotations (RFQs) and compare charter offers from shipowners and brokers
• Support the chartering team in voyage estimations, freight calculations, and laytime calculations
• Maintain and update internal databases with market rates, fixtures, and vessel information
• Assist in preparing charter party agreements and addendums (under supervision)
• Monitor vessel positions, market trends, and Baltic indices (BDI, BCI, etc.)

General Responsibilities:

• Provide daily operational support to the Chartering and Operations teams
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports on bookings, fixtures, and market updates
• Maintain accurate records and filing of all shipping documents
• Collaborate with internal teams (sales, documentation, finance, and compliance)
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvement

Requirements& Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or related fields
• Strong interest in the shipping, maritime, or logistics industry
• Good understanding of international trade terms (Incoterms), shipping documents, and basic freight concepts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages such as Mandarin, Malay, Tamil is a plus)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
