1. Targeted Case Management

·      Provide end-to-end case management, intervention and evaluation for students flagged up for attendance issues, behavioural concerns or other critical needs

·      Collaborate and coordinate multi-disciplinary case discussions with relevant departments, family and community partners for students/clients assessed for higher support needs 

·      Formulate detailed reports on a students’ social and family background, including financial needs and support systems to aid in the school’s holistic student developmental planning and reporting to government agencies (e.g. Child Protective Service(CPS))

·      Consistently connect with families at students’ key transition points (including orientation, progress meetings, transition planning discussions and graduation ceremony) to foster close school-family collaboration

We are seeking a compassionate and highly organised Social Work Assistant to provide critical administrative support to our department. In this role, you will manage the full life cycle of subsidy applications, coordinate intake and transitional support processes for our clients, and maintain the administrative infrastructure that allows our Social Workers to focus on clinical and therapeutic support.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.       Subsidy and Financial Administration

·      Manage the end-to-end process for subsidy applications, including initial submissions and renewals to ensure continuous support for clients

·      Verify and submit clients’ transport claims, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement

As an intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience by working closely with our dedicated Educators and Therapists. This internship offers a unique chance to immerse yourself in the dynamic environment of a Special Education School, supporting students' learning journeys and directly engaging with them.

We welcome students and undergraduates from all fields of study, as well as graduates eager to explore the Special Education industry. Period: Between Jan 2026 - May 2026

Work days: Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm

Internship allowance: $1,600 per month

- Starting salary for Diploma holder: $2,600 and Degree holder: $3,200
