Key Responsibilities:

• Support regional business analysis and reporting activities across Southeast Asia operations, covering multiple countries and stations within the network.
• Analyze operational, commercial, and financial performance data to generate actionable insights, identify trends, and support management decision-making.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance business intelligence dashboards, reports, and performance tracking tools using Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and Python (where applicable for data analysis and automation).
• Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs), including shipment volume, revenue, costs, gross profit (GP), yield performance, and operational efficiency.
• Conduct pricing, rate, and profitability analysis for air freight and logistics services to support commercial strategy and revenue growth.
• Prepare regional performance reports, including monthly Gross Profit (GP) forecasts, and management summaries for leadership review and strategic planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including country teams, operations, finance, and commercial departments, to gather business requirements and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance to ensure the integrity and accuracy of reports and analytical outputs.
• Maintain and continuously improve reporting systems, databases, and analytical processes, including automation of workflows using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Python to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and recommendations to support business reviews, budgeting processes, commercial negotiations, and strategic initiatives.

Key Tasks

• Responsible for overall air operation division and ensure smooth day to day transactions.
• Liaise with various parties such as agent, carrier and internal parties to ensure smooth execution of load plan.
• Work closely with the Group's key account, tender and local sales teams to develop new business opportunities.
• Support the team to streamline the workflow, optimize utilization in handling of operational and capacity issues.
• Liaise and build strong relationships with airlines and co-loaders.
• Complete other tasks assigned by the Management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in transport/logistics related disciplines.
• Being reachable outside normal working hours
• Excellent communication, inter-personal and people management skills.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in the industry, familiar with international import and export space management, well established and connected in the international air transport market.
• Positive attitude with a strong sense of responsibility, able to work under pressure.
• Good organization and coordination skills.
• Collaboration with Mandarin speaking overseas clients and counterparts is required, proficiency in Mandarin is essential.

Role Overview

The Air Gateway Director is responsible for leading and optimizing all air freight gateway operations across Southeast Asia. This role will oversee gateway performance, carrier relationships, and cross-border coordination to support the company’s regional and global logistics objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily air import, export, and transshipment operations across regional gateways
• Optimize network routing, capacity planning, and gateway performance
• Manage airline and ground handler relationships, including capacity and service levels
• Ensure compliance with air freight regulations, customs, and security standards
• Own operational performance, costs, and KPIs; drive continuous improvement
• Partner with commercial and country teams to support customer needs
• Lead and develop regional operations teams

Requirements:

> 10+ years in air freight or logistics, with regional leadership experience

>Strong knowledge of Southeast Asia air operations and regulations

>Proven ability to manage multi-country operations and teams

>Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills

Job Responsibilities:

• Interface with customer and optimizing quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction
• Focal point to coordinate for day-to-day activities between stakeholders to achieve smooth transactions and build excellent working relationships
• Handling local & overseas as well as internal and external customer enquiries, addressing concerns and offer solutions
• Serve as backup to internal support group
• Set up customer database, process bookings and executes pertinent orders
• Manage shipping documentation (import/export) formalities efficiently to ensure absolute accuracy and compliance of procedures
• Responsible for maintaining timely tracking status accuracy and schedules for all jobs
• Prepare quotations
• Maintaining internal/external KPIs and SOPs to meet customer requirements
• Any other ad-hoc additional functions mandated by Management

Skills / Requirements:

• Import/Export experience in freight forwarding with leadership experience will be an advantage
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment
• Knowledge of Import/Export regulations and documents
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Understanding of profitability and loss and how to plan to drive growth
• Exceptional customer service and follow up skills
• Responsible for booking, customs clearance, communication with foreign agents.
• Coordinate with overseas and local branch for operation and rate issues.
• Develop new business from existing customers to increase business volume and contribute to profits of the company
• Required to liaise with Mandarin speaking stakeholders from overseas, proficient in Mandarin will be beneficial
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
• 5.5 days work week, 9am - 6pm (Mon - Fri) 9am - 1pm (Sat, work from home)
