We are looking for a motivated and versatile individual to join the Healthcare team. The role will support the development, adoption, and continuous improvement of reusable AI assets and platforms through ecosystem engagement, platform operations, product thinking and practical UI/UX capability.

Research Engineer (Reusable Healthcare AI Assets)

The successful candidate will work closely with researchers, engineers, product owners, healthcare and public-sector stakeholders, and industry partners to identify user needs, translate them into actionable platform requirements, and drive the adoption of reusable AI assets. The role is suitable for someone who can engage stakeholders effectively, structure feedback into product and operational priorities, and contribute to simple, intuitive user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, dashboards, and documentation for AI platforms.

Requirements

• Experience in at least one of the following areas: AI/ML platform delivery, product or platform operations, technical project management, ecosystem or stakeholder engagement, developer relations, digital transformation, UI/UX design, or technology adoption.
• Working understanding of AI/ML systems, data-driven applications, software platforms, APIs, cloud environments, MLOps, or reusable software/assets. Deep research specialisation is not required, but the candidate must be comfortable working with technical teams.
• Ability to translate between domain needs, user pain points, operational constraints, and technical implementation requirements.
• Practical exposure to user research, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, information architecture, or interface review.

Job Description

The Senior AI Research Scientist will be working on clinical multi-agent CDS engineering workstream. The role will design and implement the MAS harness that coordinates GP, pharmacist, specialist, guideline/evidence, medication-safety and workflow agents for primary-care decision support. The system should support pre-consult briefs, iterative re-inference during consultation, safety checks, and structured next-best-action recommendations.

The scientist will be responsible for translating clinical workflow requirements into an executable architecture: agent contracts, orchestration logic, memory/state management, tool interfaces, retrieval layers, evaluation harnesses and observability. The role will also lead simulation-based testing and validation using clinical vignettes, synthetic cases, public benchmarks and protected clinical data pathways where approved.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement the MAS/CDS harness, including agent roles, orchestration policies, memory/state handling, tool calling, guardrails and error recovery.
• Build simulation-based evaluation workflows that generate cases, run multi-agent consultations, compare outputs with labels or clinician review, and record failure modes.

Position Overview

The Scientist / Senior Scientist (Infectious Diseases), Vaccines & Immunotherapeutics will develop mRNA immunotherapies across multiple therapeutic programs. This role is important in NATi"s development of immunotherapy candidates from discovery/pre-clinical to IND-enabling stages. The successful candidate will have prior experience and proven track record in the academic or biotech laboratory settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and execute the Vaccines R&D strategy in a creative, innovative manner. 
• Develop and optimise laboratory methods for characterisation of the different RNA therapeutic modalities (e.g., mRNA, circRNA, saRNA, gRNA), focusing on protein translation and stability. 
• Design and conduct in vitro assays to assess vaccine-specific responses and identify and quantify cellular targets and efficacy readouts for infectious diseases.
• Stay current with immunology, vaccinology literature and emerging platforms and provide scientific expertise in the areas of cellular and humoral immune responses to vaccines.
• Independently write protocols, procedures and develop and maintain SOPs to ensure reproducibility, compliance, and readiness for IND submission, contribute to CMC documentation. 
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to support internal decision-making and external regulatory submissions. Communicate results orally or written, internally or externally. 
• Train and mentor junior lab personnel.
• Collaborate with scientists across multiple functions.
• Maintain accurate records using LIMS/ELN systems to support data integrity and reproducibility.
• Support tech transfer activities to external CDMOs, including preparation of reports, training, and troubleshooting support.

Qualifications & Experience

• PhD in Immunology or a related field with minimum of 8+ years of experience. Industry experience preferred.
• Detailed knowledge in immunology and cellular biology, mechanisms underlying autoimmune, allergy and inflammatory diseases with deep expertise in T-cell function and with emphasis on cytokine signalling, tolerance mechanisms, and immunopathology. 
• Proven proficiency in immunophenotyping, particularly extensive hands-on experience with multi-color flow cytometry including panel design, staining fluency, compensation, and data analysis/interpretation.
• Strong record of accomplishment in advancing immunology-focused therapeutics and leading translational/biomarker initiatives.
• Proven ability to develop, validate and troubleshoot assays.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional, fast-paced multidisciplinary environment to effectively deliver results within reasonably established timelines.
• Knowledge and experience with in vivo models.
• Expertise developing mRNA-LNP therapeutics is highly desirable.
• Ability to work well with CROs.

The Surface Remanufacturing Technology (SRT) Group at SIMTech develops advanced surface engineering, coating, and finishing technologies for industrial applications. Projects are often industry-driven or competitively funded, involving both fundamental R&D and translation into practical, production-scale processes.

Role Summary

You will execute and support research in laser material processing, ranging from laser surface texturing, laser cleaning, laser micro-machining, laser peening, and laser metal deposition. The role will also involve supporting characterization work, such as optical microscope and SEM imaging, sample preparation, residual stress and fatigue life measurement, analyzing of data and compilation, and overseeing other day-to-day activities such as procurement, equipment maintenance and laboratory supervision as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and execute R&D efforts in laser material processing.
• Conduct experimental trials; optimise process parameters to meet functional requirements (wear resistance, water affinity, surface hardness and roughness etc.).
• Perform materials and microstructural characterisation: sample preparation (sectioning, mounting, polishing, etc.), microscopy (optical, SEM), surface energy measurements, hardness / mechanical testing, etc.
• Troubleshoot and improve process stability, texture uniformity, reproducibility, and scalability; understand failure modes and address issues.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (materials scientists, mechanical engineers, surface metrology experts) and with industrial partners for technology transfer.
• Stay up to date on emerging laser processing technologies and contribute to the evaluation and incorporation of new techniques (e.g. novel optics, process monitoring and control, simulation and modelling, machine learning).

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Surface Engineering, or a related field.
• Good foundation in optics and light properties, materials and microstructure, surface properties and composition, thermodynamics and heat transfer
• Good understanding of experimental design, such as making reasonable hypotheses, crafting experiments and optimising process parameters, collecting and data analysis and compilation
• Experienced in material characterisation tools: microscopy (optical, SEM), wear testing, hardness testing, etc.
• Good communication skills, able to work well with others, able to articulate one’s thoughts and present one's work, motivated and hardworking

Desirable:

• Knowledge of post-processes (surface chemical grafting, surface passivation, coating overlay).
• Knowledge in python or other machine learning languages; experience in software such as Autocad/Creo, Rstudio, Labview etc.
• Project management experience; ability to guide junior researchers / engineers / lab officers

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components, tooling, fixtures, and experimental setups to support welding, joining, and additive manufacturing processes.

We are seeking an innovative and technically skilled researcher to join our team, specializing in adaptive machining. is a key technology for generative and regenerative applications at the heart of ARTC’s remanufacturing and manufacturing research. We are looking for people with the passion and drive to join us as part of the Remanufacturing Process Technology (RPT) Group. The scope of the role will be to work on research in advancing machining technologies by integrating adaptive techniques, leveraging knowledge in CNC machining, CAD/CAM programming, software development, and basic Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts. This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research aimed at improving efficiency, precision, and sustainability in machining processes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform research, conduct experimental work and analysis in a project-based environment
• Lead / Support the technical execution and delivery of projects, including project scoping activities and industrial customer engagement as well as capability development in line with the technical roadmap of the Group and Division, fostering collaboration with other teams / groups / research entities as needed
