Due to continued growth in our Program Management Business Line, we are seeking an experienced Manager with a growth mindset to join our ANZ team in a senior leadership capacity, based in either Brisbane or Sydney as a Sector Manager - Independent Assurance

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and design ICA systems, including control panels, SCADA systems, PLCs, and field instrumentation.
• Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for ICA components.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of ICA systems on-site.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers, to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during project execution.
• Integrate instrumentation and control systems with existing infrastructure.
• Configure and program PLCs, SCADA, and other automation systems.
• Provide ongoing support for ICA systems, including maintenance and upgrades.
• Conduct performance analysis and recommend improvements to enhance system efficiency.
• Liaise with clients to understand project requirements and provide technical support.
• Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and training sessions for clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure all ICA systems meet quality standards, environmental regulations, and health and safety requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., in PLC programming, SCADA systems) is a plus.
• Proficiency in programming and configuring PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider).
• Experience with SCADA systems, HMI design, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
• Knowledge of instrumentation devices such as sensors, actuators, and flow meters.
• Familiarity with CAD software for designing control panels and wiring diagrams.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles for industrial control systems.

The 'compliance services' team at AECOM are currently looking for an Environmental Scientist to join their team in Singleton.

How you’ll make a difference

• Manage environmental compliance projects across mining, councils and power generation clients.
• Lead client communication and build strong, trusted relationships.
• Mentor and support technicians and junior staff across field and office work.
• Deliver environmental monitoring programs (surface water, groundwater and air quality), including data collection, validation and reporting.
• Undertake site work (around two days per week), including sampling and supervision.
• Ensure quality assurance across data, reporting and compliance with legislation.

This role will be part of team that ensure the design, implementation, and evolution of a robust compliance and controls framework across GBS. This role is central to ensuring that Global Business Services operates in accordance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX). The ‘Risk Management and Compliance Lead’ will report to the ‘Head of Risk Management & Compliance - GBS’, partner with staff across all functional Finance and HR towers and align closely with GBS Project Teams to embed controls into transformation and digitization initiatives.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation

• Perform GBS-wide compliance risk assessments and control mapping.
• Partner with the business to prepare and maintain SOX narratives and control documentation for GBS processes and perform testing to ensure compliance.
• Partner with staff across all functional Finance and HR towers to embed controls into standard processes and to ensure ongoing operational compliance.
• Prepare regular reporting to advise the ‘Head of Risk Management & Compliance – GBS’ and the GPO/SDLs on risk mitigation actions and control execution gaps.

Training and Communication

• Design and deliver training programs tailored to compliance requirements across all GBS towers.
• Ensure consistent communication of policy updates and new control expectations across GBS teams.
• Create compliance toolkits to support GBS coaching programs.

Auditing and Compliance Monitoring

• Plan, perform and execute periodic compliance audits and self-assessments.
• Oversee a self-testing program across all functional towers to proactively identify, remediate and track closure of control gaps before internal/external audits.
• Support the tower teams on self-assessments findings, interpreting results and mitigation plans.
• Track trends across self-testing outcomes and escalate systemic issues.
• Monitor real-time compliance across all delivery hubs and flag emerging issues.
• Partner with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with relevant local regulatory requirements.

Change & Project Compliance Integration

• Identify and implement changes that generate efficiencies and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Participate in GBS-led projects (automations, transitions) to ensure compliance and control design from the start.
• Review compliance frameworks for new tools and workflows.
• Align with the ‘Head of Risk Management & Compliance – GBS’ to ensure process design changes meet compliance requirements.

• Support Global Business Services across all locations in completing end‑to‑end Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) and conducting data protection assessments (DPIA, TIA, LIA) in alignment with regulatory requirements, internal standards, and service expectations.

• Support the execution of data privacy self- audits to ensure compliance with regulations. 

-       Monitor compliance with data privacy policies and regulations, reporting any issues or breaches. 

• Assist in maintaining and updating data privacy procedures. 

• Translate regulatory, legal, and policy guidance into operationally usable assessments and outputs.

• Proactively identify and contribute to the continuous improvement of templates, tools, guidance documents, and assessment practices
