Role Description

The Senior HR is responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of Human Resource functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, training and development, policy implementation, and compliance with employment laws. Augmented Human Lab, at the Smart Systems Institute, National University of Singapore is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to work on the co-design and development of human–robot collaboration interfaces for high-risk operational scenarios such as chemical spill response and urban search-and-rescue.

The Research Assistant will work on designing, prototyping, and evaluating interactive systems that integrate explainable on-device AI and small language models (SLMs) to support human operators in making faster, safer, and more confident decisions. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, especially research fellows and industry partners.

This role is ideal for candidates interested in applied HCI research, rapid prototyping, user-centered design, and translational AI systems progressing from early-stage concepts toward system-level demonstrations

• Support requirements gathering with domain experts and industry collaborators, including field observations, interviews, and task analysis.

What You'll Do

HR Operations

• Manage end-to-end work pass applications and renewals (EP, S Pass, DP LOC) via MOM portal

• Ensure camera system is set up according to production plan which includes the optical, electronic special effects and autocue system
• Assist cameraman in performing basic camera work on various operational modes (i.e Pedestals, Tracks, Tripods, Handheld or Gimbal)
• Work with stakeholders during production to ensure visuals are captured, i.e. camera position, techniques and angles of shots
• Keep up to date with industry filming methods and equipment, receptive to innovative ways of filming

Job Requirements

• Nitec in Electronic / Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Film Production
• Preferably 1 to 2 years of relevant working experience
• Good working knowledge of camera systems, lenses and camera support equipment, assist in maintaining camera equipment
