Job Summary:

As a Senior Lending Advisor for China market, you will serve as an expert on credit who provides flexibility for our most complex clients’ tailored banking and credit solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Develop creative, innovative solutions to new client financings or restructurings within acceptable credit/risk parameters.

2. Drive business development and revenue growth of loan book by:

• Leading the credit marketing effort for the local market teams

• Understanding the capital structure of existing clients and prospects and advising same

• Being attentive to identifying new business opportunities/asking for referrals

• Originate credit leads from existing clients and prospects and participate in new marketing initiatives

1. Balance objectives of client, new business generation and risk management.

2. Underwrite and execute both loan and derivative structures (with credit risk therein).

3. Serve as primary contact on credit portfolio and/or key/complex borrowing relationships.

4. Demonstrate credit/risk management discipline, monitor portfolio risk, change debt structure/risk ratings in response to changes in risk, and proactively work to improve portfolio quality and prevent loss.

5. Work with Bankers on sophisticated credit needs for client penetration and cross selling; Support coordination of sales effort with Investors, Fiduciary Administrators and Wealth Advisors.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline.

2. Minimum 7 years’ experience in wealth management space, along with extensive exposure to credit, loan and deposit and derivative products is required.

3. Experience and proven success with banking concepts including, but not limited to: investment real estate loans, concentrated collateral loans, aircraft lending, commercial real estate and bridge loans.

4. Experience in structuring complex transactions, credit and derivatives transactions.

5. Knowledge of account maintenance procedures, loan closing procedures, credit administration and compliance procedures.

6. Demonstrated understanding of wealth management including, but not limited to: investing, trust and financial planning.

7. Fluent written and spoken Business Mandarin is essential to support Chinese speaking clients from China.

8. High level of analytical skills, including financial analysis.

9. Ability to identify and analyze credit opportunities and the attendant credit risks.

10. Familiarity and expertise with credit documentation.

11. Completion of formal credit training program.

Responsibilities

• Support the Internal Audit Manager in executing internal audit, risk management, and control assurance activities across regional entities

• Assist in the planning and execution of audit engagements, including audit planning, fieldwork, documentation of work papers, and preparation of audit reports

• Review and verify the accuracy and integrity of financial records, including assets, liabilities, revenues, expenditures, and related transactions

• Perform balance sheet reviews across group entities to ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards

• Support the annual JSOX audit cycle, including testing of Entity-Level Controls (ELC) and financial reporting processes

• Assist in maintaining and enhancing the risk management framework, including risk identification, assessment, and control monitoring

• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams to evaluate internal control frameworks and perform control design reviews and sample testing

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA)

• Minimum 3 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, compliance, or risk management

• Familiarity with JSOX / SOX frameworks, internal controls, and financial reporting processes is preferred

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail

• Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
