Job Summary

Perform assembly builds and tests according to specifications while collaborating with engineers on experiments. Report manufacturing issues and support troubleshooting in a cleanroom environment with shift work.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly builds and conduct tests as scheduled following specifications, schematic drawings, and work instructions
• Collaborate with engineers to conduct experiments and support product development
• Identify and report manufacturing problems to assist Manufacturing Engineers in troubleshooting and problem-solving
• Maintain cleanliness by performing housekeeping tasks and adhering to manufacturing discipline and cleanroom protocols
• Communicate and cooperate effectively with team members to achieve production goals
• Apply a quality and productivity mindset to ensure high standards in manufacturing processes

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• NITEC or Higher NITEC in Engineering with 1 to 2 years of manufacturing experience
• Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering with 1 to 2 years of manufacturing experience
• Ability to read and interpret schematic and mechanical drawings
• Capability to independently carry out assembly of fewer than 2 processes on a single platform
• Experience in Gas Box and Panels assembly for the semiconductor industry and related applications
• Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment under a rotating 12-hour shift system (8 am to 8 pm and 8 pm to 8 am) with shift rotation once a quarter or once every two quarters
• Familiarity with 3-4 / 4-3 shift patterns
• Comfortable wearing full jumpsuit with mask as working attire

Job Description

Operational Excellence & 5S

• Execute daily 5S activities to ensure a safe and compliant production environment
• Oversee proper storage of tools, materials, and Work-in-Progress (WIP) to prevent damage or loss
• Ensure the production line is well-maintained and organized

Technical Execution & Testing

• Perform hardware assembly and software loading on assigned racks/servers according to methods and customer specifications
• Monitor rack test statuses closely; proactively trigger relevant stakeholders (Product/Test/Process Engineers) for troubleshooting or necessary actions
• Assist engineers with pilot run and collaborate to resolve any product-related technical issues

Documentation & Communication

• Maintain meticulous records and update trackers/logs daily
• Ensure all technical documentation is accurate and up to date
• Communicate via various platforms to keep engineers and partners informed of production status
• Generate comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly reports to track line performance and order status

Process Improvement & Compliance

• Provide feedback on Warehouse Management System (WMS) issues and contribute to Kaizen, FPY (First Pass Yield), and DPPM reduction projects
• Raise and update technical tickets (Tech Direct) within agreed-upon SLAs
• Support all internal and external audits by ensuring full compliance with company rules and quality regulations

Job Title: Engineering Assistant, Manufacturing Process

Experience Required: 3+ years in Manufacturing

Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering support for manufacturing equipment and processes
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on production equipment
• Improve and upgrade production equipment hardware and control software
• Identify and solve process problems for quality improvement and scrap reduction
• Manage equipment spare parts inventory
• Install and qualify new processes and equipment
• Support new program/model start-ups
• Ensure minimal machine downtime and product scrap
• Communicate effectively with operators, supervisors, and support teams

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Production, or Chemical Processing Engineering, or 3+ years of relevant experience
• Proficient in PLC programming
• Willing to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays

• Perform regular internal quality audits to assess the compliance of manufacturing processes with established quality standards and requirement

• Generate or compile reports of audit findings, highlighting areas for improvement and follow up on corrective actions to enhance the efficiency and quality of manufacturing processes

• Perform process verification to ensure that manufacturing process are executed correctly and meet the defined standard and specification

• Update and maintenance of documentation including ISO documents, Control Plan and Inspection Checklist and process verification records

• Perform data analysis and investigation based on customer feedback, identifying trends and areas for improvement in collaboration with the Engineer
  
  

Requirements:

• Diploma in Engineering, Science, or relevant field

• 1-3 years of working experience in similar field would be of advantage

• Proficiency in statistical tools and software, such as Minitab, JMP, Tableau, Python or similar for data analysis

• Familiarity with QA tools and methodology such as 8D, Mistake Proofing (POKA YOKE), Root Cause Analysis, and FMEA would be preferred
