Responsibilities:
Mechanical Drafter (Entry Level)
Report directly to the R&D Manager.
Design and develop manufacturing drawings for electrical switchboards.
Prepare and assemble modular drawings based on panel design specifications.
Conduct calculations, heat loss analysis, and airflow simulations as required.
Generate Material Order Lists (MOL) for mechanical components.
Liaise with vendors regarding material specifications and enquiries.
Collaborate closely with the Manufacturing and Production teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
Carry out additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Mechanical Engineer (Draft & Design) - Junior Level
Execute mechanical design and engineering tasks, including the preparation of detailed production drawings, shop drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM) using AutoCAD, Inventor, and Revit (BIM).
Develop, evaluate, and refine mechanical system layouts and design concepts to ensure compliance with functional, safety, and project requirements.
Create and maintain coordinated Revit (BIM) models and AutoCAD drawings, ensuring proper integration with other disciplines.
Prepare and verify as-built drawings based on site installation feedback, and conduct site visits when necessary to ensure engineering compliance.
Collaborate with project engineers, sales teams, consultants, and contractors to address design, technical, and constructability challenges.
Communicate with clients and consultants to ensure alignment with project specifications, regulatory codes, and industry standards.
Contribute to design coordination meetings, technical reviews, and project discussions by providing professional engineering insights and recommendations.
Be prepared to travel (including to Malaysia) and work overtime when required by project schedules.
Undertake additional engineering and design-related responsibilities as assigned by the reporting manager.
Requirements:
Nited/ Higher Nitec/ Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Knowledge in BIM, VertexG4 and AutoCAD M&E 3D drawings
Relevant experience in mechanical design, engineering, or industrial systems will be a plus
Experience with generator enclosures, exhaust systems, ventilation, piping, or other industrial equipment will be an advantage.
Entry levels are welcomed, as training will be provided
