• Leading in-house engineering design works of Mechanical System, including detailed design of ACMV / Fire Protection / Plumbing & Sanitary System, hydraulic calculation, E20 heat load calculation etc.
• Attend design coordinate meetings with main-con, consultants and other contractors.
• Coordinate with BIM / drafting personnel for the 3D model / drawings production for design drawing / shop drawings submission.
• Coordinate with BIM personnel for the Combined Services Drawings.
• Assist in preparing the material requisition for all Mechanical equipment and materials.
• Assist site team in carrying out testing and commissioning, combined services testing for TOP/CSC,  
• Coordinate with other trade of contractors such as Electrical System, Process System, Structural etc to capture.
• Participate in liaison with Mechanical suppliers for quotation, carry out equipment selection, technical and commercial evaluation.
• Analyse, manage and track project costs against budget.
• Assist in preparing material submittals for electrical system to the Consultant for approval.
• Participate in tender preparation for new projects.

Requirements

• Min bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Min 5 years of Mechanical Design working experience in building construction industry, preferable in handling Building Service Mechanical System
• Good understanding of the relevant Code of Practice (Singapore or overseas).
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Tender Bidding and Project cost Analytical and Critical Thinking
• Proactive and willing to learn and take on new challenges.
• BCA/SCDF/PUB authority certification is an advantage

The Deputy Design Manager is primarily responsible to lead the coordination within the technical team (Structural, Architectural and M&E). Besides identifying and resolving design, specifications, construction methodology, sequencing and maintenance issues, balancing contractual obligations, statutory requirements, site progress and product workmanship while ensuring that timely progress of works on site with timely issuance of shop drawings, the Architect will also interface with the Consultants, Client and/or Authorities to ensure the timely resolution of such issues.

A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

• Leads the coordination of the technical departments within the office.
• Drives and monitors the production of schematic design, design development and construction documents i.e. shop drawings, material approval, mock-ups etc.
• Collaborate with Architect and consultants to amicably resolve design and technical issues.
• Aligned with Woh Hup Building Information Modeling / (BIM) / Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) implementation roadmap.
• Drive to improve the skillsets of the technical departments through trainings and knowledge sharing
• Adherence to safety practices in the workplace.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Education: Minimum Degree in Architecture or relevant field.
• Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience, preferably to have been full time assigned or has led a major aspect of the project.
• Comfortable working within a fast-changing environment, ability to multi-task and cope with ambiguity
• Strong communication and interpersonal ability, coupled with influencing skills
• Independent and a self-starter, with strong personal drive to initiate and implement

Technical Competencies

• Proficient in the understanding of the requirements of relevant authorities (ie BCA, SCDF, LTA)
• Proficient in the understanding of various Forms of Contracts (i.e. Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA), Public Sector Standard Conditions of Contract (PSSCOC), Real Estate Developers' Association of Singapore (REDAS) etc)
• Proficient in technical knowledge of construction and material

Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.

Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in interior design.

Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, V-Ray, Photoshop, or related design software.

Good communication and presentation skills.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong creativity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
