Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cost Manager to support major capital projects within high‑tech manufacturing and industrial facilities. This role focuses on cost planning, budget control, and commercial management across construction, expansion, and equipment‑installation projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage full pre‑ and post‑contract cost management activities for semiconductor projects, including estimating, rate analysis, and preparation of final cost plans.
• Lead tendering and procurement processes—managing pre‑qualification, tender lists, tender analysis, reports, and contract documentation.
• Support change control and resolve post‑contract cost variances across cleanroom construction, tool‑installation packages, and facility upgrades.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and participate in cost presentations to project stakeholders.
• Contribute to value engineering exercises, identifying opportunities to optimise design, materials, and construction sequencing for semiconductor environments.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams throughout all project phases, maintaining strong relationships and clear communication. 
• Support knowledge management efforts by capturing lessons learned and improving cost‑management procedures and templates.

Purpose (Why does the position exist?)

• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning to align resources with strategic priorities • Maintain strong internal controls, policy compliance, and audit readiness
• Maintain continuity of leadership and critical finance partnering capability, with a succession plan for the Business Controller role
• Assist Business Controller on daily operations
• Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 Standards

Areas of Responsibility:

• Decision making support for local management
• Have an active role as a financial expert in the management team
• Act as a catalyst for new business ideas
• Challenge the management team with constructive financial perspectives
• Support for monthly operative reporting, delivered on time and with good quality in accordance with group policies, including reporting to group systems (e.g., Onestream) and to business management
• Analyze and filter financial data, draw conclusions, and propose observations and recommendations to the local management team Partial Qualitative
