Role Overview
We are seeking a PLM Application Engineer to support, configure, customise and enhance our ProductLifecycle Management (PLM) systems. The candidate will collaborate with engineering, IT, and business teams to optimize product data management and lifecycle processes.
Key Responsibilities
Install, Configure, customize, and maintain PDM/PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill, ENOVIA)
Support engineering and manufacturing teams in using PDM/PLM tools
Gather business requirements and translate them into system solutions
Develop workflows, BOM structures, and data models within the PDM/PLM system
Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support
Integrate PDM/PLM with enterprise systems using both Java APIs and RESTful web services
Perform system upgrades, testing, and validation
Document processes, configurations, and user guides
Develop on Single-Page-Application development
Train end users and provide continuous improvement recommendations
Understand customer challenges in PDM/PLM adoption and proactively deliver out-of-the-box and custom solution
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
2–5+ years of experience with PDM/PLM systems
Hands-on experience with at least one PDM/PLM platform (Windchill, Teamcenter, ENOVIA, etc.)
Knowledge of product lifecycle processes (design, manufacturing, change management)
Familiar with CAD tools (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA, NX), and integration of CAD tools with PDM/PLM system
Programming or scripting skills (Java, JSP, Python, C++, or similar)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Familiar with React library and Angular framework
Knowledge on using ETL tools to migration data to PDM/PLM system
Understanding of change management practices and adoption challenges
Familiar with OData services and development of REST-APIs
Good understand on eBOM, mBOM, and BOP transformation/authoring processes
Preferred Skills
Experience with system integrations (APIs, middleware)
Good programming and problem-solving skills
Database knowledge (SQL, Oracle)
Understanding of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle)
Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or electronics industries
