We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Shop Manager to oversee our daily operations, manage inventory, and lead our retail team.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
As the Shop Manager, you will run the day-to-day operations and ensure the store operates smoothly and efficiently. Your key duties will include:
Store Operations: Oversee daily opening/closing and overall store cleanliness and organization.
Team Leadership: Supervise, schedule, and motivate shop assistants, ensuring excellent customer service on the floor.
Inventory & Stock Management: Monitor stock levels, handle purchasing/ordering from suppliers, and manage receiving and displaying heavy/bulky hardware goods.
Customer & Contractor Relations: Assist walk-in customers and regular contractors with product inquiries, technical advice, and bulk orders.
Sales & Targets: Drive shop sales, manage pricing, and ensure profitability.
Work Schedule
What We’re Looking For (Requirements)
Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory or management experience, ideally in a hardware store, building materials, DIY retail, or a similar trade industry.
Product Knowledge: Strong familiarity with general hardware, hand/power tools, electrical, plumbing, or building materials is highly preferred.
Physical Capability: This is a active, hands-on role that requires standing for long periods and occasionally handling heavy stock.
Skills: Strong communication skills, basic computer literacy (for POS and inventory systems), and a problem-solving mindset.
