Job Summary
The High Performance Executive supports the High Performance Manager in developing and executing a comprehensive high-performance plan to advance national and international success in fencing through athlete development, sports science integration, and competition management.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing a long-term High Performance framework to guide athlete development across Senior, Junior, and Cadet levels in all three weapon disciplines.
- Coordinate and deliver annual High Performance plans and programmes, including National Training Centre, spexScholarship, spexPotential, National Team programmes, and Campaign Support initiatives.
- Collaborate with High Performance Sport Institute and other providers to coordinate sports science and sports medicine services for athlete support.
- Plan and manage budgets for High Performance programmes, ensuring efficient resource use and compliance with financial policies.
- Maintain, review, and update High Performance policies and frameworks related to National Team, National Training Centre, ranking systems, and athlete selection.
- Perform financial, administrative, and operational tasks to support effective delivery of High Performance programmes.
- Manage and maintain the athlete ranking system in line with Fencing Singapore’s regulations and policies.
- Coordinate competition entries and registrations for athletes in international and regional events.
- Provide logistical and administrative support to coaches during major Games and competitions, including competition planning and execution.
- Support the implementation of Clean Sport and anti-doping programmes to promote fairness, integrity, and compliance within the fencing community.
- Assist in planning and coordinating National Team participation in international competitions such as the Olympic Games and FIE-sanctioned events.
- Coordinate logistics and travel arrangements, ensuring athlete welfare during training camps and competitions.
- Travel overseas as needed to support competition operations, team administration, logistics, and athlete welfare during competitions and training camps.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with athletes, coaches, parents, sponsors, government agencies, and international fencing bodies to advance the High Performance programme.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders by providing updates on High Performance programmes and developments.
- Prepare circulars, reports, meeting notes, and other communication materials related to High Performance activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management and appointed Office Bearers in line with organisational policies.
