Junior Legal Secretary

Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Assisting with the preparation of legal documents
• Answering calls and handling requests
• Scheduling of meetings/appointments and preparing of meeting materials
• Maintaining client contact list
• Performing general administrative duties such as photocopying, scanning, binding, file management
• Providing administrative support on a day-to-day basis, such as expense claims and time recording
• Preparing of billings

Requirements :

• Minimum 5 GCE ‘O’ level credits including English
• Proficient in Microsoft office applications
• 1-2 years of corporate experience
• A good understanding of conveyancing matters, including the process of property transactions and related legal documentation
• Takes initiative and is a team player
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skill
• Good time management

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Shall be in-charge of handling the corporate secretarial matters for a portfolio of clients;
• Responsible for updating the statutory registers, drafting of AGM minutes and directors resolutions;
• Preparing the statutory filings & annual return documents for submission to ACRA;
• Providing admin support to the corporate secretary.

REQUIREMENTS

• Should possess at least O levels, diploma or equivalent professional qualifications;
• Familiar with corporate secretarial practices, maintenance of statutory registers, preparation of AGM minutes & directors resolutions & handling the ACRA submissions;
• Preferrably with some working experience in a corporate secretarial company;
• Should be meticulous and have good communication skills;
• Have good initiatives and be resourceful;
• Should have high degree of professionalism and is self-driven.

Remuneration shall commensurate with your relevant working experience.

Requirements

What you’ll do

• Help refine our global cybersecurity policies, procedures and standards, and ensure our businesses have the information and tools they need to align to those policies.

Position title: Junior Legal Associate
Working Days: 5 days
Working Timing: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
Working Location: Telok Ayer
Starting Salary: $5,500 (depends experience)

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Prepare and review legal documents related to property transactions. These documents include sale and purchase agreements and loan agreements.
• You will provide advice to clients on all aspects of buying or selling property. This includes legal issues, financial considerations, and contract matters.
• Engage in negotiations with the other party’s lawyer for the Option to Purchase (OTP). Provide advice to clients on the conveyancing process and their rights and obligations.
• Liaise with various parties involved in the transaction, including real estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Law 
• 0-3 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in conveyancing or related
  legal work.
• Familiarity with property laws and conveyancing procedures.
