·      Building and maintaining a portfolio-wide database to capture the day-to-day management of Approval conditions and agreed covenants. 

·      Tracking and reporting of all unit related deliverables, KPI’s and KRI’s

·      Ensuring Facility and Security documentation are prepared in accordance with credit approvals, Credit/Legal Documentation policy and Department procedures.

·      Ensuring follow-up and satisfaction of conditions precedent and subsequent to facility utilization.

·      Tracking and reporting the status of conditions precedent and subsequent documents and highlight exceptions to line manager.

·      Preparation of periodic reports as well as any MI reports for the department.

Job Requirement

Knowledge
·      Ability to solve problems and escalate to higher levels (as appropriate) and get along with people amicably.

·      Good understanding of Wholesale banking products.

·       Good knowledge and understanding of Credit, AML and Operations management.

·      Fair working knowledge of Loan Documentation, Syndication Loan Structures, Commercial Contracts, Trade Finance, Credit Risk, KYC and Banking terminology including standard loan covenants.

·      Good background in performing credit analysis of Corporations.

Solid computer skills with capability to use spread sheets, graphic and presentation packages to review and create professional materials

Education
·     Suitably educated, preferably with a bachelor’s degree in economics/commerce/finance. Professional Degrees (an added advantage)

Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar function, credit or audit with large regional or global financial institution(s)

Main Responsibilities:

• Calculate and invoice demurrage and voyage-related claims incurred for each voyage, promptly with required documentation in accordance with the terms and conditions of the governing charter party
• Negotiate effectively to pursue collections of outstanding demurrages and claims escalation
• Liaise with Shipping Operators and/ or Master and/ or Agent for missing information or documentation and follow up proactively
• Record demurrage and claims and ensure compliance with electronic filing process
• Prepare weekly and monthly demurrage reports Track, highlight and provide feedback on unfavourable clauses to Freight Traders
• Develop solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to maintain smooth collection of outstanding claims, including traveling to meet external stakeholders, if necessary
• Collate relevant correspondences for Legal Counsel or P&I Club review on claims that need to be turned over for legal recovery
• Evaluate validity of claims and take initiative to stay updated on new rulings, new clauses, how Charter party provisions are changing, etc. through seminars and relevant industry events

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in the Tanker or Oil & Gas Trading industry.
• Strong understanding of the various charter parties, commercial contracts, laytime and demurrage provisions and the terminology associated with the petroleum industry.
• Strong understanding of all time-related and post-deal claims.
• Strong analytical and communication skills Self-motivated, Positive minded, Resolution focused.
• Good knowledge of Shipping Operations and/or Law.

• Perform month end close processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of our financials.
• Preparation of financial performance reports and insightful commentaries to track and drive business performance and enable strategic and operational decisions.
• Preparation of financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
• Ownership and accountability for timeliness, data accuracy and process adaptation as needed in delivery of various Regional Reporting data sets and reports to various stakeholders.
• Participation in cross functional project work to help drive the strategic agenda.

Job requirement

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accountancy or in any related majors.
• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in preparing financial reports.
• Good to have experience in Banking.
