Role Overview

The QMS/QA Manager will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving AITbiotech's Quality Management System in alignment with ISO 13485, HSA (Singapore MDA) regulations, and CE-IVD/IVDR requirements. This is a dual-focus role: ensuring our QMS operates robustly across all product lines while actively leveraging AI-assisted tools to modernise quality processes, documentation workflows, and regulatory intelligence. Key Responsibilities

1.  QMS Maintenance & Continuous Improvement

• Own and manage the end-to-end ISO 13485-certified QMS, including document control, change control, CAPA, internal audits, and management review processes.
• Conduct periodic QMS gap analyses, identify process weaknesses, and drive corrective and preventive action plans.
• Maintain and improve the Quality Manual, SOPs, work instructions, and related controlled documents across all departments.
• Lead internal audits and coordinate external/third-party audits; prepare audit responses and oversee closure of non-conformances.
• Foster a quality culture across the organization through training programmes and quality awareness initiatives.

2.  Regulatory Affairs & Certifications

• Manage and maintain regulatory submissions and product registrations with HSA (Singapore MDA) for IVD medical devices.
• Lead CE-IVD/IVDR compliance activities, including technical documentation, Declaration of Conformity, and liaison with Notified Bodies.
• Monitor changes to applicable regulations (ISO 13485, IVDR, HSA MDA, ASEAN AMDD) and assess impact on existing QMS and product registrations.
• Coordinate with external regulatory consultants and legal counsel on cross-border market access strategies in Southeast Asia and beyond.
• Support product development teams with regulatory input during design and development, risk management (ISO14971), and design verification/validation activities.

3.  AI Integration in Quality Operations

• Identify and pilotAI-assisted tools for QMS functions including intelligent document management, automated non-conformance tracking, audit trail analysis, and regulatory intelligence monitoring.
• Collaborate with IT and bioinformatics teams to evaluate and deploy AI/ML solutions that improve quality data analysis, risk assessment, and complaint trending.

5.  Cross-functional Collaboration

• Manage account blocking and unblocking based on payment status and credit policy requirements.

• Follow up on overdue accounts and implement collection strategies to improve cash flow and reduce aging balances.

• Prepare, analyze, and present AR aging reports and credit control reports for management review and decision-making.

• Work closely with the sales team to review customer accounts, resolve credit-related issues, and support collection activities.

• Communicate with customers regarding overdue balances, payment reminders.

• Ensure timely issuance of customer Statements of Account (SOA) and maintain accurate customer account records.

• Review and update bad debt provisions, bad debt expenses, and related General Ledger (GL) reconciliations.

• Coordinate debt recovery activities, including engaging debt collection agencies, preparing documentation for Small Claims Tribunal cases, and liaising with legal counsel on debt recovery matters.

• Prepare supporting documents and coordinate with internal stakeholders for court hearings and legal proceedings when required.

• Conduct credit control orientation and training for new sales personnel and provide ongoing guidance on company credit policies and procedures.

• Develop, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen internal controls.

• Review Deferred Income balances and prepare the necessary accounting entries for income recognition and year-end reporting.

• Identify potential credit risks and escalate critical issues to management with recommendations for resolution.

• Perform any other credit control, accounts receivable, and finance-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, and Collections.

• Strong understanding of credit management, debt recovery processes, and accounting principles.

• Experience handling legal recovery cases and debt collection agencies will be an added advantage.

Job Description

Positions are available for Research Engineers, Research Assistants, and Ph.D. students in the research group of Prof. Soh Siow Ling, at the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS).  

The group’s general program of research involves the coupling of organic materials, mechanical forces, and electrostatics at different interfaces (e.g., solid, liquid, or gas). This coupling is currently greatly under-explored and poorly understood in science. At the same time, the coupling gives rise to many fascinating new natural phenomena for exciting fundamental discoveries and development of impactful and original technologies. 

The general approach of the group is to conduct original programs and new directions of research with strong fundamental science. The group is highly interdisciplinary and involves engineering (e.g., fluid mechanics), materials science, chemistry, and physics. Different organic materials are used, including polymers (e.g., stimuli-responsive polymers), hydrogels, and covalent organic frameworks (COFs). 

One project involves an original system that harvests water energy from nature (e.g., rain and rivers) and directly generates electricity by solid-liquid charge separation with high energy conversion efficiency. Other projects involve clearing virus-laden atmospheric aerosols and preventing the spread of infectious diseases (e.g., COVID-19) and development of clean surfaces that do not adhere any dust on them. Another research involves stimuli-responsive polymers for small molecular separation, smart delivery, and intelligent soft machines.

A recent exciting and emerging field from our group is the development of novel mechanocatalysts for performing mechanochemical reactions with high energy conversion efficiency. Harvesting energy from mechanical forces of nature (e.g., wind or water flows) is a novel and sustainable approach to performing chemical reactions. 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is preferably someone open-minded to conducting original fields of research, independent, and hardworking. Because the research of the group is highly interdisciplinary and many projects in different disciplines are ongoing, candidates with a Bachelor’s degree from a wide range of backgrounds will be considered for different projects, including engineering (e.g., chemical, mechanical, etc), materials science, chemistry, and physics.

Hybrid & Benchtop NMI systems (i.e. PET/CT, SPECT/CT, PET/SPECT/CT, and PET/MR) represent a key market segment in Bruker’s Preclinical Imaging (PCI) business. PMOD Technologies has been developing advanced software solutions for the analysis and quantification of biomedical imaging data since 2003, with a strong focus on PET, SPECT, MRI, and CT. Today, scientists at more than 700 sites worldwide rely on PMOD software for molecular imaging research, contributing to over 500 scientific publications each year. Since 2019, PMOD Technologies has been part of the Bruker PCI division, which delivers high‑end solutions for preclinical imaging. 

Based within the NMI business group, the NMI Application Scientist role requires a strong scientific background and demonstrated hands‑on experience in nuclear molecular imaging and related data analysis. The position supports the growing APAC customer base and covers hybrid and benchtop NMI systems as well as PMOD software solutions across the Asia‑Pacific region.

The NMI Application Scientist will provide pre- and post-sales applications training and support for NMI and PMOD software. Key responsibilities include:

• Customer training (with a focus on APAC)
• Customer education (in-house, webinars, tutorials, videos)
• After-sales support (e.g. customer hotline, customer visits)
• Marketing support (marketing materials, lectures, and data preparation)

• Practical experience using molecular imaging analysis software tools
• Proven experience with animal handling and working with radioactive tracers, in compliance with local regulations and safety standards
