As a Safety Coordinator at HOTPACK PACKAGING INDUSTRIES SDN. BHD., you will be responsible for ensuring the organisation maintains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. This full-time role is based in Senai, Johor and will play a crucial part in the company's commitment to protecting its workforce.
What you'll be doing
- Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
- Delivering safety training and workshops to educate employees on best practices and procedures
- Investigating incidents and accidents, determining root causes, and recommending preventive measures
- Ensuring the company complies with all relevant health and safety regulations and legislation
- Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to the organisation's safety performance
- Collaborating with department heads to develop and implement effective safety policies and protocols
- Promoting a positive safety culture and encouraging employee engagement in safety initiatives
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a safety or risk management role, preferably within the manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with employees at all levels
- Ability to think critically, identify risks, and implement appropriate control measures
- Proficient in data analysis and report writing to track and communicate safety performance
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently to drive continuous improvement
- Relevant safety certifications or qualifications (e.g. OSH-C) would be an advantage
