About This Role
UQ CAPITAL is seeking a CEO to lead our Singapore licensing and regulatory agenda with a clear focus on LFMC-related governance, regulatory readiness, and execution.
This role is accountable for licensing strategy, MAS engagement, submission quality, and operational control standards required for a regulated fund management setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end licensing and regulatory workstreams relevant to LFMC setup / upgrade / ongoing regulatory alignment in Singapore.
- Serve as the principal executive contact for MAS-facing regulatory communication and external professional advisors.
- Drive regulatory submission planning, response management, and issue resolution with strong documentation discipline.
- Ensure governance, compliance, AML/CFT controls, risk framework, and internal policies are aligned with LFMC expectations.
- Build and oversee cross-functional execution across Compliance, Legal, Risk, Finance, Operations, and Technology.
- Establish management and board reporting cadence for licensing status, key risks, dependencies, and remediation actions.
- Ensure operational readiness for regulated activities, including SOPs, controls, record-keeping, and accountability mapping.
- Lead and coach relevant teams to maintain a regulator-ready operating environment.
Mandatory Requirements
- Proven senior executive experience (e.g., CEO / ED / COO / RO) within an LFMC in Singapore.
- Demonstrated track record in MAS-related licensing/regulatory submissions, review cycles, and regulator engagement.
- Strong practical knowledge of governance, compliance, AML/CFT, and risk-control frameworks for licensed fund management operations.
- Ability to translate regulatory requirements into actionable operating models and cross-functional execution plans.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience in licensing enhancement, variation, or scale-up phases within Singapore regulated fund management entities.
- Prior accountability for regulator-facing documentation and internal control remediation programs.
- Familiarity with institutional standards for policy frameworks, oversight mechanisms, and audit readiness.
