Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable/Payable Executive to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate recording of revenue, maintaining account reconciliations, and supporting financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing of revenue accounts in compliance with accounting standards.
• Record all revenue and receivables transactions accurately into the accounting system with complete supporting documentation.
• Review and verify revenue adjustments, ensuring proper justification and required approvals are obtained.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable records, including reconciliations.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up promptly with internal and external stakeholders on payment matters.
• Ensure all cash/receipts are properly banked in, recorded, and reconciled on a timely basis.
• Support customer billing processes and handle inter-company transactions accurately.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable or general accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (e.g. Quick book systems is an advantage).
• Strong attention to detail with high level of accuracy and integrity in financial data handling.
• Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in F&B, retail, or hospitality industry will be an added advantage.
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for accounts receivable and payable during audits.
• Assist in improving finance processes and internal controls where necessary.
• Perform other ad-hoc finance and accounting duties as assigned by management.

Job Overview

The Account Assistant is responsible for supporting the Finance Department in the areas of accounts receivable reconciliation, accounts payable invoice processing, and general administrative duties. The role requires accuracy, good record-keeping, and timely follow-up to ensure proper maintenance of financial and administrative documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable

• Perform reconciliation of customer payments against invoices and account statements.
• Update and maintain accurate records of collections, receipts, credit notes, and outstanding balances.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in customer accounts in a timely manner.
• Prepare customer statements and other related receivable reports as required.
• Assist with month-end closing activities relating to accounts receivable.

Accounts Payable

• Receive, verify, and record supplier invoices in the accounting system accurately and promptly.
• Check invoices against supporting documents such as purchase orders, delivery orders, and approvals.
• Ensure all invoices are properly authorized in accordance with company procedures before posting.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of supplier invoices and payment records.
• Assist in preparing payment schedules and monitoring invoice due dates.
• Reconcile supplier statements and liaise with vendors to resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end closing activities relating to accounts payable.

Administrative Duties

• Maintain organized filing systems for financial and administrative records.
• Handle data entry and ensure all records are updated accurately and on time.
• Assist in preparing reports, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external parties on finance and administrative matters.
• Provide general administrative support to the Finance Department and office operations.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma, LCCI, A-Level, or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least 1–2 years of relevant working experience in accounting or administrative support is preferred.
• Basic understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bookkeeping processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with accounting software is an advantage.
• Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in work.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
