The team is responsible for Drive Backend Assembly processes, including monitoring, controlling, maintaining, and improving product performance. This role applies engineering principles—such as Six Sigma and Lean—together with strong skills in data analysis, problem solving, and solution implementation to achieve performance metrics aligned with company goals.

About the role - you will:

• Sustain critical backend manufacturing processes—monitor daily yield, Test time, scrap, and key process indicators.
• Use programming and scripting capabilities such as Python, C, or C++ and SQL for automated testing, control and scripting, data crunching.
• Perform structured root cause analysis (5 Why, Fishbone, DMAIC) to resolve process excursions and chronic issues.
• Develop and release Test Process Documentation, work instructions, PFMEA, and control plans aligned with Seagate’s quality system.
• Capability to analyze test data, perform failure analysis, and trace defects back to the root cause.
• Partner with equipment and automation teams to drive process equipment optimization, recipe refinement, and failure mode analysis/reduction.
• Collaborate closely with engineers to achieve aggressive goals while upholding high-quality standards.
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing production efficiency in a consistent and sustainable manner. 
• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support team, department, and company Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)

About you:

• Diploma in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Your experience includes:

• Experience in manufacturing process environments is preferred.
• Exposure to process setup, buyoff, process mapping, and process control. 
• Experience in failure analysis is preferred.

• Working knowledge of Python, C, C++, or SQL for automation, scripting, or data analysis would be an added advantage.
• Experience supporting documentation such as work instructions, PFMEA, or control plans would be beneficial for success in this position.

• Perform process setup and buyoff for both Drive Backend Assembly, ensuring that yield, cycle time, and quality outcomes meet defined targets.
• Support product ID label buyoff to ensure compliance with product specifications and standards.
• Monitor production yield to detect any excursions, conduct process mapping, implement immediate containment (stop bleeding), establish hypotheses, design experiments to identify root causes, propose corrective actions, and report findings to engineers. Escalate issues appropriately per PMP requirements.
• Conduct basic data queries and analysis to provide relevant information and insights for engineering teams.
• Ensure process sustainability by monitoring KPIVs/KPOVs and managing Fast Triggering systems to maintain stable and controlled operations.
• Collaborate closely with engineers to achieve aggressive goals while upholding high-quality standards.
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing production efficiency in a consistent and sustainable manner.
• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support team, department, and company Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).

Seagate's Operations Quality & Analytics organization helps to protect and improve Seagate’s Total Customer Experience Develop, deploy, and sustain End-To-End Quality Analytics and Processes to provide trusted, actionable information enabling earlier detection and prevention of HDD and System issues. Drive In-Process Quality is a subgroup of OQ&A to protect HDD quality through in-process audits, Control and Monitor Material and Process parametric. 

About the Role-You will:

· Perform in‑process quality inspections by following standard procedures and work instructions.

· Conduct Out‑of‑Box Audit (OBA) inspections to check product quality and workmanship.

· Support QC activities during assigned shifts, including Backend Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) inspections and joining weekly production line Gemba walks.

· Record inspection results accurately and report any defects or issues to QA Engineers or line leaders.

· Support customer audits or visits by preparing inspection records and assisting as required.

· Assist with additional quality‑related tasks assigned by Quality Engineers, such as trial checks or verification activities.

· Follow safety rules, ESD requirements, and backend process discipline to ensure safe and smooth production operations.

The Production Planning team at Seagate Singapore (W1) plays a critical role in orchestrating smooth factory operations by ensuring aligned production schedules, optimized capacity usage, accurate material planning, and timely delivery performance. The team partners closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, IE, and Customer Operations to support both daily build execution and long term planning.

About the role - you will:

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to meet customer requirements, inventory targets, and factory capacity constraints.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure readiness of materials, tools, and resources for smooth execution.
• Analyze production demand, output trends, equipment availability, and WIP status to recommend adjustments.
• Perform capacity planning and scenario analysis to support ramp plans, NPI builds, and recovery actions.
• Monitor daily build performance, identify risks, and drive cross functional issue resolution.
• Align build priorities with global planning teams, customer operations, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate planning data in MES/ERP systems and ensure compliance with planning processes.
