You will be stationed at one of the bank’s branches and play a key role in delivering holistic financial advisory services. About the Department
The Consumer Financial Services team supports customers across various segments—from everyday banking to premier services—by offering a wide range of financial products. These include insurance, loans, investment products, and structured deposits.
Working in this division provides exposure to diverse customer needs and multiple career pathways, all within a dynamic and high-performing environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a Personal Financial Consultant, you will:
- Provide end-to-end financial advisory services to customers at the branch level
- Promote and cross-sell a comprehensive range of wealth management products, including insurance, loans, unit trusts, and structured deposits
- Adopt a consultative approach to understand clients’ needs and recommend suitable financial solutions
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with customers, ensuring consistent engagement and follow-up
- Deliver quality after-sales service to enhance customer satisfaction and retention
Training & Career Development
You will undergo a structured onboarding programme during your first six weeks to build a strong foundation in financial advisory and product knowledge. In addition, ongoing annual training ensures you remain updated with industry developments and sharpen your professional skills.
High-performing individuals can progress along different career tracks, including:
- Management Track: Advancement towards leadership roles such as Branch Manager
- Sales Track: Progression into senior advisory roles, managing affluent or premier clients
Top performers may also qualify for incentive trips to international destinations.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A diploma or degree (fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
- Preferably at least 2 years of experience in retail banking or financial sales (not mandatory for entry-level candidates)
- A strong results-driven mindset with the ability to perform under pressure
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with customers
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including weekends when required
- Candidates with more than 2 years of relevant financial advisory experience and a strong sales track record may be considered for Senior Personal Financial Consultant position.
