Position Summary

The Chief Engineer is responsible for overseeing the overall maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of the hotel’s engineering systems and facilities. This includes preventive maintenance, safety compliance, energy management, contractor supervision, and ensuring all guest rooms and public areas are maintained to hotel standards.

The role is also responsible for leading the engineering team to ensure smooth daily operations while minimizing equipment downtime and maintaining a safe environment for guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Maintenance

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Department.
• Ensure all hotel facilities, guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and equipment are maintained in excellent working condition.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen, and laundry equipment.
• Attend to emergency breakdowns and ensure prompt rectification of issues.
• Monitor maintenance requests and ensure timely completion.

Team Management

• Lead, supervise, and train the engineering team.
• Prepare duty rosters, work schedules, and manpower planning.
• Conduct performance review sand provide coaching to team members.
• Ensure staff comply with workplace safety and hotel policies.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Singapore regulations, including:

- Workplace Safety and Health (WSH)
- Fire Safety requirements
- Building and construction regulations
- Environmental and sustainability standards

• Coordinate and liaise with external contractors, vendors, and government authorities.
• Ensure all licenses,certifications, and statutory inspections are up to date.

Financial & Cost Control

• Prepare and manage the engineering department budget.
• Control repair and maintenance expenses while maintaining operational standards.
• Monitor utility consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives.
• Source quotations and manage contractor work within approved budgets.

Projects & Renovation

• Support hotel refurbishment, upgrading projects, and renovation works.
• Coordinate project timelines and ensure minimal disruption to hotel operations.
• Review contractor work quality and project completion standards.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in hospitality, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience in hotel engineering operations
• Good knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building systems.
• Familiar with Singapore safety and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work under pressure and respond to emergencies when required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Fire Safety Manager (FSM) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of energy conservation and sustainability practices.
• Experience handling hotel renovation or CAPEX projects.

JOB SCOPE

Bellhop will be responsible to greet the guests upon their arrival at the Hotel, offering assistance to carry the luggage's and directing them to the reception counter for check-in.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Handling luggage, delivery messages, parcels, faxes etc. for guests.
• Monitor the Front driveway at all times.
• Open vehicle doors for incoming and outgoing guests/patrons.
• Accompany the guests to the assigned rooms, explain and sell all facilities in the room and hotel.
• Provide service and any request or inquiry to guests.
• Maintain the conditions of the equipment, e.g. polishing
• Perform other duties as and when assigned by the Management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Possess at least a GCE ‘N’ Level/Lower Secondary or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience in related field
• Able to communicate in English to handle guests and in work.
• Able to communicate in Chinese is an advantage to handle guest from China.
• Able to lift heavy and large items, e.g. handle luggages for guests.
• Able to work on three (3) rotating shifts jobs, 6 days work week including Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.

JOB SCOPE

The Hotel Front Desk Agent will assist in attending and serving the section which he/she is been assigned.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible to attend, serve and assist the guests in their esquires and/or services needed in checking in and checking out.
2. Provide excellent guest and or customer service to ensure that the guests/customers needs and wants are attended.
3. Escort guests to their allocated guests rooms and show them the amenities in the rooms.
4. Assist in carrying their luggage and/or hand-carried luggage to their rooms and/or to the lobby areas for checking out.
5. Good interpersonal communication skills is needed to be able to listen and resolve problems and/or inquiries put forth by the guests/customers.

• Relevant certificate/diploma in Hotel Operations Management or Hospitality and Tourism Management.
• Possess one (1) or two (2) years of relevant working experiences in the service industries such as hospitality, tourism and retail industries.

JOB SCOPE

The role of the Room Attendant is to ensure that the rooms are well cleaned and tidy ready to sell to the guests.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Check and stock up all the necessary linens and supplies required for the day.
• To check all room status is the same as on the Room Attendant daily report. To report any discrepancy found to the Supervisor immediately.
• Responsible for cleaning a minimum of fifteen (15) rooms daily.
• eplenish all amenities according to the Operational Standards.
• 5. Perform rotation cleaning duties (thorough cleaning, shampoo carpet cleaning etc) as required.
• Responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance of her/his work area and ensure security of guestrooms and privacy of guests.
• Check and report faulity items that needed repair to the Floor Supervisors/Housekeeping office while in the process of cleaning the guestrooms.
• Check Room Safe and set dials for check-out and vacant clean rooms.
• Report and hand in any Lost and Found items to the Floor Supervisors/Housekeeping office.
• Check and record the number of soiled linen correctly and enter it in the Linen Changing list before exchange for clean linens at the Linen Room.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum secondary education or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in housekeeping or related field.
• Able to understand the communicate in simple English to communicate with guests and in work.
• Knowledge in use of vacuum clearner and proper chemicals handling.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform maintenance of air-conditioning systems, including cleaning fan coil unit filters, coils, and flushing condensate drain pipes.
• Attend to air-conditioning issues such as leakage in guest rooms and office areas.
• Carry out carpentry works, including repair and installation of furniture, cabinets,shelves, wooden flooring, and fixtures.
• Perform painting and varnishing works in guest rooms, public areas, offices, and other facilities.
• Handle repairs such as carpets, wallpaper, castor wheels, and basic installations.
• Assist with electrical works and plumbing repairs, including water pipe leakage.
• Support project works, refurbishments, and setup of equipment for function rooms when required.
• Perform general maintenance duties and any other tasks assigned by Management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Possess at least a ITE Certificate in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Building Maintenance
• At least 1 year of experience in hotel industry or related field
• Able to communicate in simple English
• Able to work independently

JOB SCOPE

The Hotel Duty Executive (Duty Manager) will assist the Front Office Manager to ensure the smooth operations of the Front Office Department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Supervise the Guest Service Agent, Communications Officers, Cashiers and Bellman to ensure smooth running of the Front Desk.
2. Provide excellent guest services to all guests making their enquiries at the Front Office counters.
3. Escort VIP guests to their rooms and show them the amenities within the rooms.
4. Ensure that the availability of rooms are closely monitored to make the needs of the operations.
5. Assists all guests in their checking in and checking out registration and make them feel comfortable at all times.
6. Provide concierge services to the guests during their stay with the Hotel.
7. Other Duty Manager duties assigned by management and manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Possess Certificate/Diploma in Hotel Accommodation from SHATEC or any local training institutions.
• Possess at least 2-3 years of experience in the same capacity in the Hotel industry.
• Excellent customer service skills in handling large group check in and check out services.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for preparing all sauces and all mise en place for daily usage.
• Responsible for raising Requisition Forms to order stock and supplies for Chef and Sous Chef to approve.
• Prepare daily buffet breakfast for groups and Ala Carte, according to recipes.

• Keep all store rooms and kitchen areas in a clean, tidy and hygienic manner, including cold room and refrigerators in accordance to Ministry of Environment rules and regulations.
• Ensure that all utensils, crockery and cutlery are both washed, cleaned and stored in a clean and convenient place.
• Ensure portioned control of all meat items and no pilferage.
• Keep all unauthorized persons away from the Kitchen at all times.
• Report all incidents and accidents to the Chef/Sous Chef.
• Attend to all meetings and training as organized by the Chef and Sous Chef.
• Perform other duties as and when assigned by the Management.
