We are looking for a motivated and willing-to-learn Refrigeration Design / Project Engineer to support our refrigeration and cold room projects.

This role is mainly focused on refrigeration system design, equipment selection, technical documentation, and coordination with internal teams to support project execution. The successful candidate will be involved in heat load calculation, cold room design, preparation of technical drawings, and coordination with production and R&D teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Project

• Perform heat load calculation and cold room design for chiller, freezer, and other refrigeration applications
• Select suitable refrigeration equipment, including compressors, condensing units, evaporators, controls, and related components
• Prepare technical documents such as technical submittals, equipment schedules, and design reports
• Prepare 2D drawings, 3D refrigeration rack assembly drawings, and P&ID

Coordination& Project Support

• Coordinate with the production team on refrigeration rack fabrication, piping arrangement, control panel requirements, and installation details
• Coordinate with the R&D team on evaporator design and related technical requirements
• Liaise with suppliers, consultants, contractors, customers, and internal teams to support smooth project execution
• Assist in material planning, BOM preparation, and project-related cost coordination where required

Customer& Site Support

• Attend customer meetings and site discussions when necessary to explain the proposed equipment and system design
• Support testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and project execution when required
• Work closely with customers and colleagues to clarify technical requirements and resolve project-related issues

Requirement

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration, Air-Conditioning, or related field
• Experience in HVAC&R, refrigeration, cold room, or project engineering work is preferred
• Basic knowledge of heat load calculation, equipment selection, and technical drawing preparation
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Solidworks experience is an advantage
• Able to understand and prepare technical drawings and P&ID
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Willing to learn and grow in refrigeration system design and project engineering
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Willing to attend customer meetings or site visits when required

Job Responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll and maintain attendance/leave records

• Administer work passes (Work Permit) via MOM portals — applications, renewals, cancellations

• Handle WICA claims and coordinate with insurers on documentation

• Support recruitment — job postings, resume screening, interview coordination

• Prepare employment contracts and onboarding documents

• Maintain employee records and assist with statutory submissions

• Monitor FWL, work pass quota, and MOM compliance requirements

• Handle general HR queries from every employee

• Track Coretrade and CSOC certification expiry, arrange renewals, and register workers for training programmes

• Administer leave, attendance, timesheets, OT records, and claims processing

• Submit dormitory check-in/check-out, renewal, room movement forms, and purchase workers' PPE

• Support HR Executive on ad hoc projects and reporting

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in HRM, Business Admin, or related field

• Fresh graduates welcome; prior HR admin or internship experience preferred

• Familiar with MOM portals (WP Online, EP Online) is a plus

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; HR system (Info-Tech) experience is a plus

• Detail-oriented, organised, able to multitask

KeyResponsibilities:

Project

• Design, plan, and oversee testing, commissioning, and site supervision for HVAC & Refrigeration projects, adhering to project plans, specifications, and contracts.
• Prepare and maintain design documents, submittals, and re-estimate reports. Ensure proper project documentation and regularly update management on project progress.
• Conduct site surveys, plan the placement of pipework, ducts, and control panels, and attend site meetings. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and monitor construction progress.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
• Perform testing, commissioning, and quality checks to ensure the performance, reliability, and safety of HVAC systems. Diagnose, repair, and maintain system components.
• Assist clients in optimizing energy use, resolving faults, and providing post-installation support.
• Generate 2D engineering & electrical drawings with software.
• Manage material and labor costs to meet budget requirements.

Requirement

• Min. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Min. 1 year experience in Engineering in HVAC & R industry
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Solidworks is a must.
• Strong interest in HVAC & Refrigeration technologies and solutions.
• Strong understanding of mechanical or electrical systems and technologies, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences.
• Experienced in designing refrigeration system.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Results-oriented with strong organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel (including overseas) as needed for onsite client meetings, presentations, industry events, and etc as required
