About the role

A social worker in CCF focuses to help beneficiaries thrive through social work modalities suited to the needs of the beneficiary and/or their families. They could include providing casework and counselling interventions, groupwork, community development and programmes to support and empower families through the cancer journey and beyond. The social worker is expected to work comfortably in these modalities with a positive attitude towards learning and growth and with supervision and support.

Please note that the portfolio and designation associated with this role may evolve as part of ongoing Service Transformation and organisational reorganisation. The role may include responsibilities in the hospital setting, although the primary work location will remain mostly community based. Candidates should be adaptable and open to changes in scope and responsibilities that may arise.

Responsibilities:

Casework and Counselling:

• Conduct intake sessions, provide information and referral service

• Conduct holistic psychosocial assessments

• Provide casework support and coordinate care for client

• Provide counselling support, psychoeducation about illness, treatment and survivorship care

• Work collaboratively with healthcare multi-disciplinary team, schools and community partners and other survivor communities to ensure integrated care

• Intervene and provide appropriate and timely support in client crisis situations

• Coordinate financial assistance and connect families with available resources and support systems

• Maintain timely, accurate and confidential case recordings

• Participate actively in case discussions, supervision and reflective practice to support professional development

Groups, Community Engagement & Connection Building:

• Contribute to the design of groups, community development and programmes to build social networks and support for children with cancer and their families, and improving access to information and resources

• Support the planning and implementation of psychosocial programmes such as therapeutic support groups, family events, peer and caregiver social groups, and educational support initiatives in both the hospital and community settings

• Facilitate peer and caregiver connections of families with shared experiences, interests, or stages of the treatment and survivorship journey, with a survivorship focused lens

• Collect and analyse programme statistics, feedback and outcomes to evaluate programme effectiveness and review for improvement

• Manage and set programme budgets

• Coordinate logistics, volunteers, partner involvement and client participation

• Build and maintain relationships with partners, volunteers and stakeholders

Requirements:

• Degree in Social Work or Graduate Diploma in Social Work (from SUSS and NUS)

• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply

• Interest in growing and understanding of casework management, basic counselling principles and psychosocial assessment, groups and community development theories

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and active-listening skills, with empathy and emotional maturity

• Good organisational and time-management skills

• Competent in documentation and data handling, proficiency in common office applications

• Proficiency in English; a second language is an advantage

• Interest in working with children and youth with cancer and their families

• Demonstrates genuine warmth, sensitivity, and confidence in engaging with children and families across backgrounds, and emotional states

• Shows commitment, initiative and reliability in managing daily responsibilities

• Resilient and able to work in emotionally demanding situations, including palliative and bereavement work

Responsibilities:

Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF) is seeking a passionate and driven individual to join the Partnerships & Development Team. This role will focus on supporting stewardship and prospecting efforts for partners and donors in the following areas:

• Support CCF’s strategies to enhance existing partnerships and cultivate new relationships aligned with organisational goals.
• Generate leads and identify potential partners across corporates, community organisations, nonprofits, government agencies and other relevant stakeholders to drive outreach and partnership growth.
• Engage potential and existing partners to build meaningful, long-term relationship initiatives aimed at community engagement and partnership development.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute appreciation events, public education talks, and other stewardship initiatives aimed at community engagement and partnership development.
• Support and facilitate partnership engagement for campaigns and fundraising initiatives, including outreach, follow-up and coordinating with partners.
• Work collaboratively with internal departments to identify organisational needs and develop proposals, engagement resources, and communication materials—including presentations, appeals, funding applications, and curated invitation lists—to strengthen partner engagement and outreach.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of partner interactions and engagements in the database, evaluate partnership activities to ensure objectives are met.
• Undertake secretarial duties and administrative support where appropriate and executing other ad-hoc duty to further the goals of CCF where appropriate.
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Non-profit Management, or related fields.
• At least 2 years of experience in fundraising, donor management, corporate partnerships, or a similar role.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling proposals and presentations.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a passion for innovation in partnership development.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and fundraising tools is advantageous.
• Flexibility to work occasionally during weekends, if required.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement individual and small group therapeutic play sessions based on identified needs
• Conduct basic assessment and contribute to case formulation, with guidance where needed
• Support intervention planning using play-based approaches
• Adapt play sessions for children with: Emotional and behavioural needs, Developmental differences, Emerging medical-related anxieties
• Provide basic feedback and strategies to caregivers
• Maintain accurate and timely session records
• Implement existing therapeutic play programmes

Requirements:

• Degree in Psychology / Counselling / Social Work / Early Childhood or related field
• Formal or in-progress training in play therapy / therapeutic play
• Typically 1–3 years of relevant experience working with children
• Warm, patient, and able to build rapport with children
• Developing skills in empathy, attunement, and observation
• Willingness to learn and receive feedback
• Basic understanding of how children communicate through play
• Able to work collaboratively within a team

Support a 6-month initiative to map the strengths, interests, and motivations of childhood cancer survivors. The role focuses on engaging survivors, gathering insights, and supporting the development of a platform (e.g., gathering, forum, or community activation) to strengthen connections and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage and build relationships with childhood cancer survivors through conversations and outreach
• Identify and document survivors’ experiences, interests, and areas they care about
• Analyse insights to identify themes, groups, and opportunities for community-building
• Support planning and coordination of a survivor-focused platform or event
• Engage partners across healthcare, education, and community sectors
• Prepare summaries, reports, and communication materials
• Provide administrative and project support
• Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Director or Team Lead (Programmes)

The HR Executive supports the organisation’s people strategy by driving HR digitalisation initiatives, strengthening training and development programmes, and enhancing employee engagement. This role focuses on leveraging HR technology to streamline processes, building structured learning initiatives, and fostering a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Digitalisation & Process Improvement

• Support the digitalisation of HR processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience.

• Identify opportunities to streamline HR workflows through automation and system enhancements.

• Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and optimisation of HR systems (e.g. HRIS, performance management platforms).

• Prepare process documentation, user guides, and provide system training to employees as required.

• Ensure HR data accuracy and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

2. HR Technology Sourcing & Management

• Research, evaluate, and recommend suitable HR technologies and vendors to support organisational needs.

• Coordinate vendor discussions, system demos, and cost comparisons.

• Support system implementation projects, including user testing, data migration, and rollout.

• Act as a liaison between HR, IT, and vendors for system-related matters.

3. Training & Development

• Conduct training needs analysis in collaboration with stakeholders.

• Develop and manage the annual training calendar, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

• Track training attendance, effectiveness, and maintain training records and reports.

4. Employee Engagement & Experience

• Support the planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives and activities.

• Assist in organising staff events and team-building activities

5. General HR Support

• Support day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes.
• Respond to HR-related queries and provide timely support to employees and managers.
• Assist in HR reporting, data analysis, and preparation of HR dashboards.
• Support other HR projects and initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.

• 2–4 years of HR experience, with exposure to HR systems, training coordination, or employee engagement preferred.

• Strong interest in HR digitalisation and technology-enabled HR solutions.

• Good project coordination and organisational skills.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS an advantage.

• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
