Job Summary

Manage client accounts and deliver comprehensive accounting services including bookkeeping, payroll, GST, and financial reporting while providing technical guidance and supporting client onboarding and ad hoc projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer client accounts including monthly, quarterly, and yearly bookkeeping, group consolidation, payroll processing, MAS reporting, GST reporting, and payment administration
• Prepare client deliverables such as management accounts, reporting packages, schedules, GST registration, MAS and GST returns, consolidation, and draft year-end SFRS unaudited financial statements with Director’s Report
• Resolve client accounting, payroll, MAS, IRAS CIT, and GST-related issues to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members to ensure accounts comply with International Financial Reporting Standards
• Identify potential advisory and compliance issues related to taxation, Companies Act, and immigration, and escalate to relevant experts
• Participate in new client prospect meetings and support the client onboarding process
• Execute ad hoc projects and related tasks as required to support business needs

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma in Accountancy, Degree in Accounting, or ACCA certification
• Minimum 4 years of experience managing full sets of accounts, GST, and payroll processing

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Prior experience in a Singapore CPA firm, business outsourcing environment, audit firm, or as a group accountant would be advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software
• Strong initiative, attention to detail, credibility, and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal, written, oral communication, and analytical skills
• Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is preferred, as the role involves liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients and business partners
• Able to work remotely / from home arrangements

As part of our continued expansion, our FundServices platform is growing to support hedge funds and alternative investment structures, and we are looking to strengthen our team.

Key Responsibilities

Fund Accounting & Administration

• Deliver full-spectrum fund accounting and administration services to assigned hedge fund and alternative investment clients
• Handle day-to-day accounting activities including cash management, payment processing, and bank reconciliations
• Reconcile cash, positions, expenses, pricing, and accruals
• Prepare and review NAV calculations and other periodic fund reports

Fees, Financials & Reporting

• Calculate and review management fees, performance fees, high-water marks, hurdle rates, and other fund-level calculations in accordance with fund governing documents
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and ad hoc client reports
• Ensure financial reporting is compliant with applicable accounting standards, including IFRS, US GAAP, and Singapore GAAP

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as a key point of contact for clients, responding to fund and investor queries in a timely and professional manner
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors and support year-end audits, tax filings, and other statutory submissions
• Assist clients with regulatory and investor reporting requirements where applicable

Operations & Growth

• Support new fund launches, investor onboarding, and set up of accounting records
• Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, strengthen operational controls, and enhance efficiency
• Assist with ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in fund administration, investment management, or public accounting, preferably with exposure to hedge funds or alternative investment funds
• Strong understanding of fund structures, fiduciary responsibilities, and valuation principles
• Good working knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and Singapore GAAP
• Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders
• Experience with Bloomberg and/or FIS InvestOne will be an advantage
