Fusion is the first 3D CAD, CAM, CAE, and PCB tool of its kind, unifying design, engineering, electronics, and manufacturing to connect your entire product development process into one cloud-based platform. We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager for Fusion Manufacturing Data Model (MFGDM) team who will manage local team including engineers from Senior to junior. MFGDM is the foundation of Manufacturing Cloud and the core Data Framework for Autodesk Cloud Flagship Product - Fusion.
Our objective is to build manufacturing data model and cloud services to shift from traditional file to granular data and to enable concurrency, integration, automation and collaboration throughout the entire product lifecycle, making it possible to empower customers to design and make better products faster.
The team we are building in multiple locations globally will focus on building fundamental data model and data services in MFGDM, supporting multi-seat growth for Fusion business, enabling product team using the granulized data to fulfil critical customer workflows, building intelligence/insights from the data, and releasing full values buried in files. The whole effort is an essential part for achieving corporate business strategy. The team will develop, deploy, maintain and support core data model & services. The team need to collaborate with other MFGDM teams cross GEOs. This position will be located in Singapore to further grow local team with other Asian teams.
Responsibilities
Recruit, coach and develop an effective and highly motivated team to deliver data services solution and/or features to internal consumers and external customers
Strategically build talents and leadership pipeline in team, build sustainable and healthy team structure to support short term and long-term business growth need
Acute at detecting potential risks and gaps in projects development and in team development, and guide team to take proactive actions to resolve risks/gaps before they become real problems, save cost and improve team effectiveness
Strongly drive team to build Customer Trust in the service solutions, including best in class resiliency, performance, scalability, and reliability. Advocate and build engineering excellence and service excellence in our development
Lead team to support customers and solve customer incidents and issues with sense of urgency. Help team to understand the importance of customer-centricity and build customer empathy
Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, Software Architects, User Experience Designers and key stakeholders to build viable delivery plan for achieving business objectives
Coach team to understand corporate vision, the product strategy and what part the team is making impacts to. Help team see the link between their work and corporate/business success and see the path realizing strategies
Rally team behind the vision, boldly drive team for high quality deliveries while building healthy team atmosphere and work life balance
Champion teams’ accomplishments and promote teams’ best practices and learnings to adjacent teams and in broader organization

Minimum Qualifications
BS/MS in engineering, computer science, or equivalent industry experience
12+ years working experience in software industry with 5+ years in leading development teams (managing team members from Junior engineers to Principal engineers, from Developers to QAs)
Proven experience on leading team to successfully deliver for multiple releases for commercial software or services. Had solid understanding of full software development lifecycle, principles, practices, and methodologies
Must have fundamentals in technology with Server-side development, preferably JavaScript (NodeJS, lambda, REST API) and AWS services
Must have experience on working in a scrum team developing cloud services; fully understand services architecture, development, and testing; understand Agile and Scaled Agile. Can work with the team to break down complex technical requirements into logical execution slices
Have insights about common engineering practice challenges and had experience of leading team to fix/improve them, e.g. automation framework, Feature Flag practice, CI/CD
Strategic thinking to influence project decisions and develop teams for long term success
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experienced in using data to detect problems and make data-driven decision
Demonstrated maturity in handling conflicts within team or cross teams. Hold good balance between being aggressive and being practical
Comfortable at dealing with ambiguities. Be able to learn fast and grasp necessary key information in short time to build judgement for timely decision making
Strong interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders
Have experiences on developing organization health, building talents, and coaching people
Proactive communicator who can always communicate risks/concerns/changes/accomplishments to right stakeholders and with impacted teams/people actively
Great presentation skills. Had experiences to present to senior leadership and to lead group activities
