About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer on behalf of our client to design, implement, maintain, and automate robust data center and enterprise network infrastructures.
This is a critical role requiring a rare technical trifecta: hands-on, expert-level mastery across Cisco, Juniper, and Micas platforms. If you are a seasoned engineer who thrives in complex, multi-vendor environments, loves bridging the gap between physical infrastructure and cutting-edge network automation, and enjoys mentoring junior talent, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Multi-Vendor Infrastructure Management: Oversee, configure, and troubleshoot complex data center and enterprise environments spanning Cisco, Juniper, and Micas platforms.
Advanced Routing & Switching: Maintain high-availability network architectures utilizing advanced Layer 1–3 protocols ($BGP$, $OSPF$, $MPLS$, $VRF$, and multicast).
Network Automation: Drive efficiency by developing and implementing automation workflows, infrastructure as code (IaC), and scripting solutions.
Physical DC Operations: Oversee structured cabling, fiber optics, and physical space planning within the data center environment.
Security & Compliance: Enforce robust network security postures across multi-vendor environments using AAA, 802.1X, ACLs, and firewalls.
Monitoring & Documentation: Utilize DCIM and observability tools to ensure uptime, and author comprehensive technical documentation (SOPs, MOPs, and detailed network diagrams).
Leadership & Mentorship: Act as a technical escalation point and provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineering staff.

Automation & Tools
Network Automation: Proficiency with Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
DCIM & Monitoring: Experience with NetBox, Splunk, ELK stack, or similar observability platforms.
Security & Physical Infrastructure
Security: AAA, 802.1X, ACLs, and multi-vendor firewall administration.
Physical Layer: Solid understanding of structured cabling, fiber optic types, and physical data center layout/operations.
Documentation & Certifications
Strong track record of creating SOPs, MOPs, and network diagrams.
Minimum Certification: CCNA required.
Preferred Certification: CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent multi-vendor certifications are strongly preferred.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with Ciena or Coriant optical transport systems.
Familiarity with Nokia platforms.
Knowledge of SD-WAN architectures and deployments.
Cloud networking experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for network infrastructure.
