The Company is a wholly owed subsidiary of Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd. in Japan, and is an asset management company that manages Daiwa House Logistics Trust, a real estate investment trust ("REIT") listed on SGX.

The REIT invests logistics and industrial properties in Asia including Japan and ASEAN countries.

The key responsibilities and duties for this position include:

• Assess risks and develop appropriate risk management plans (i.e. self-insurance, technology, etc.) while ensuring compliance/control needs are met in a manner consistent with good business practices
• Plan, establish and execute the Company's business strategies and management planning
• Manage tasks related to general business operations, coordination of regular meeting including board meeting
• Maintain a deep knowledge and understanding of the markets and industry in the target countries
• Ensure that confidential information of the Company is handled appropriately and securely
• Manage and execute of business related to sustainability and ESG
• Manage the Company's policies and procedures
• Manage business related to information securities
• Manage the Company's asset management contracts, including negotiation, creation, cancellation and any changes
• Receive and manage feedback and complaints from clients
• Comply to Company guidelines and work ethics
• Coordinate with the local team, non-executive directors, the parent company (in Japan) and various stakeholders
• Report to parent company in Japan, and execute business strategies as required
• Any other duties, as required by the business needs of the Company

• At least 10 years work experience in real estate industry
• At least 5 years work experience in management position
• Extensive knowledge and tracking records of business planning and general affairs
• Strong ability to implement strategic business plans suited for the Company

• High proficiency in Business level English skill (both written and spoken) to negotiate with relavant stakeholders in Singapore
• High proficiency in Business level Japanese skill (both written and spoken) to negotiate with Japan Headquarters and clients

Job Description

Responsible for overall finance and operational matters:

. Liaise on operational matters of discharging and/ loading with charterers and ship managers

. When ship operations are affected due to machinery or any other damages onboard or cargo disputes must be able to promptly react by communicating with P&I and charterers and ship managers

. Communicating with charterers and ship managers over matters concerning Bill of lading and LOI

. Handle commercial aspects such as off hire or charter party agreement matters with objective of protecting ship owner interest

・Liaise with charterers and ship managers over operational matters to ensure smooth and safe ship operations while being cost effective

・Liaise with charterers and ship brokers over charter hire rate

・Check and verify charter hire statements from charterers to ensure correct billing and no discrepancies

・Check and verify broker commission prior to payment

・Prepare on budget planning and finance projection

・Report to Japan HQ quarterly and yearly in Japanese language

・Manage company regulations and HR policies

・Supervise the employees in the Singapore office

Job Requirements

・At least 10 years work experience in shipping industry and extensive knowledge of shipping operations

・Able to handle operations of vessel from ship owner perspective

・Able to handle commercial aspects of ship owner

・Have track records of securing ship finances, including vessel mortgage and insurance

・At least 3 years work experience in accounting / finance for shipping industry

・Able to analyse results and populate for quarterly and yearly reporting to Japan

・Japanese language proficiency JLPT N1 or equivalent is required to communicate and report to Japan HQ

・Knowledge of budgetary preparation and reporting

・Hold professional certificate for commercial bookkeeping

・Knowledge of IT systems and worked with software interfaces and IT automation

・Knowledge of HR policies and practices and its applications

・Has supervisory or managerial experience in managing team of staff

・Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (powerpoint, excel and word)

・Excellent conversational and written communication skills

The job requirements include:

・At least 10 years experience of finance, accounting and tax related duties

・At least 10 years of working experience in a management position and above

・Familiarity with paper pulp and label converting products

・Excellent knowledge of global marketing trends especially in Southeast Asia, Japan and South and Central America

・Work experience and knowledge of Internal Audit

・Work experience and knowledge of M&A undertaking would be at advantage

・Business level Japanese is required to liaise with headquarter in Japan

Job Description:

• Responsible for company’s in-house accounting related work
• Record receipts and payment in accounting software 
• Preparation of month end payment and online banking transaction 
• Assist in month end closing and preparation of management report
• Organize and prepare for AR collection meeting 
• Prepare GST quarterly submission 
• Managing petty cash transactions 
• Prepare monthly sales report and compare sales variance 
• Update cashflow report daily 
• Proper documentation and filing systems
• Collaborative effort with Corporate team members to assist in office administrative work such as answering phone call, attending to guests, etc.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting or professional qualifications such as ISCA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent     
• 2 years of relevant experience preferred; candidates without prior experience are also encouraged to apply
