International Sourcing

• Maintain close awareness of market and supply conditions (e.g. supply constraints, raw material shortages, production issues, geopolitical or logistics disruptions) that may impact product availability or lead times.

• Optimise inventory levels by balancing service level targets, shelf-life constraints, MOQs, lead times and working capital considerations, ensuring healthy inventory turns.

Import Operations & Compliance

• Own end-to-end import planning and execution, from purchase order placement through shipment coordination, customs clearance and delivery to distribution centres.
• Coordinate with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines and distribution centres to plan, track and optimise shipment schedules, ensuring on-time arrival and efficient inbound handling.
• Track and manage all import shipments end-to-end, providing clear visibility on shipment status, delays, variances and exceptions, and proactively escalating issues with corrective actions.
• Oversee the preparation, submission and maintenance of import licences, permits and regulatory documentation, ensuring audit readiness and adherence to internal governance standards.

Job Description

• Lead enterprise-wide supply chain digitisation initiatives with primary ownership of inventory management, replenishment and purchase order systems.
• Define and own the strategic roadmap for inventory and supply chain platforms, ensuring scalability, robustness and data integrity.
• Drive inventory optimisation through advanced forecasting, planning and AI-enabled decision support to improve availability, reduce excess stock and enhance productivity.
• Design and implement replenishment workflows across B2B, vendor-managed inventory, e-commerce and allocation-based models.
• Partner closely with logistics, distribution, transportation, technology and data teams to deliver seamless end-to-end supply chain solutions.
• Track and deliver against key supply chain KPIs including inventory health, service levels, cost-to-serve and customer satisfaction.
• Standardise inventory and product lifecycle processes, establishing governance frameworks and best practices across the organisation.
• Lead user adoption through training, documentation and ongoing system support, acting as the subject matter expert for supply chain systems.
• Manage and develop a high-performing team, setting clear expectations and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

The Successful Applicant

• Strong understanding of replenishment planning, inventory optimisation and end-to-end supply chain processes.
• Proven experience owning and developing enterprise systems or digital products in complex environments.
• Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable working with data and analytics tools; exposure to SQL, Python or advanced systems is advantageous.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a collaborative and influential leadership style.
• Self-driven, adaptable and resilient, with high integrity and a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities:

• Manage full export operations: bookings, documentation, schedules, and customer coordination
• Handle mandatory regulatory documentation: Japan exports, Halal, SFA, Health Certificates, COA & customs
• Work closely with QA, Production, Warehouse, Procurement & Finance for timely shipments
• Control export-related costs (freight, demurrage, detention)
• Manage customer complaints and drive corrective actions
• Maintain export reporting, dashboards, and management updates
• Support cross-functional supply chain activities and process improvements

Requirements:

• 5–8 years’ experience in Supply Chain & Export in Food Manufacturing
• Mandatory: Japan export documentation experience
