8 Month Contract
$7,000 – $8,000/month + 1-month completion bonus (pro-rated)

We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Governance & Controls Manager to support regional operations across Southeast Asia & India. This role is responsible for strengthening corporate governance, ensuring robust internal controls, and driving compliance across business processes in alignment with global standards.
Role Overview
You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the internal control framework, supporting ICFR compliance, audit readiness, and remediation efforts. The role also involves partnering with cross-functional teams to embed strong governance into new initiatives and business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a strong corporate governance framework through implementation, testing, and remediation of business process controls
- Drive awareness and education across the region to ensure control owners understand and execute required control activities
- Monitor, track, and drive remediation plans for identified control deficiencies
- Lead and support ICFR (Internal Controls over Financial Reporting), internal audits, and corporate/statutory audits
- Collaborate with global, regional, and business stakeholders on risk and control matters
- Provide governance input for new initiatives, ensuring key controls are embedded in business processes
- Support projects led by Global Controlling, Ethics & Compliance, and regional business teams
- Contribute to process improvement, standardisation, and control optimisation initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of experience in audit, internal controls, SOX compliance, or Big 4 advisory/commercial finance roles
- Professional certification preferred: CIA, CA, CISA, or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of risk management, internal controls, and enterprise governance frameworks
- Experience with process improvement, project management, and change management is an advantage
- Prior experience with SAP ERP systems strongly preferred
- Strong stakeholder management skills in a matrix, multicultural environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced regional setup
