THE ROLE:

You will be responsible for testing, validating, and optimizing optical transceivers to ensure high performance and reliability in fiber optic communication systems. This role involves working closely with design teams to develop validation methodologies and improve product quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• You will develop and execute validation plans for optical transceivers and related components.
• Perform calibration, characterization, and testing of electro-optic transceivers.
• Set up and maintain automated test platforms for optical transceiver validation.
• Analyze test results and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product design and reliability.
• Document validation processes and generate technical reports.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in optical communication technologies.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Hands on optical components testing and high-speed links validation experiences. 
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of optical communication systems and fiber optics.
• Experience with Python, C, MATLAB, and data analysis.
• Ability to debug and validate hardware/electronics.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor's/Master’s/Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Optical Communications, or related fields.

LOCATION:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience

• At least 8 years of relevant working experience, including expertise in enterprise and solution architecture consulting skills such as stakeholder engagement, architecture reviews, and consensus building

• Strong experience in designing end-to-end solutions covering application, system, infrastructure, and hardware-integrated environments

• Exposure to solutions involving kiosks, self-service terminals, biometric devices, RFID readers, cameras, IoT, or other integrated end devices will be an added advantage

• Professional experience with n-tier application architecture development

• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to function at both detailed and conceptual levels

• Experience with AWS Cloud implementation, network design, business analytics, security, and biometrics will be an added advantage

• Hands-on experience in several of the following technologies/products:

Job Description & Requirements

A registered PE or Architect with a Practicing Certificate or have 10 years of relevant experience in the design (at least 5 years in design which includes contribution to designs, writing specifications) and the supervision of the construction of structures; and have a degree accepted by PEB or BOA and construction-related degree accepted by SISV and SPM. Responsibilities
