Position Overview

The Branch In-Charge will oversee the operations of the audit firm's branch, ensuring compliance with professional standards, managing client relationships and driving business growth. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership and ethical integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise audit teams, ensuring high quality delivery of audit engagements.
• Manage branch operations including resource allocation, workflow planning and performance monitoring.
• Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for business development.
• Ensuring compliance with auditing standards, regulatory requirements and firm policies.
• Prepare and review audit report, providing clear and actionable insights to clients.
• Represent the branch in professional forums, regulatory interactions and industry networking.
• Mentor and develop staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and ethical practice.

Qualifications:

• Member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA)
• Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, ACCA or equivalent professional certification.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of audit experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards (ISA, GAAP, IFRS) and local regulatory frameworks.
• Proven track record in managing teams and client portfolios.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity.

Ringkasan Kerja

• Membantu pihak pengurusan atasan menyelia operasi harian pelbagai tugasan
• Terlibat dalam pengurusan isu-isu perundangan, kawal selia dan perakaunan yang timbul semasa tugasan audit
• Bertanggungjawab untuk penyeliaan dan pengurusan perkhidmatan kepada pelanggan, termasuk penyediaan strategi audit dan rancangan perniagaan, menetapkan bajet, menjadualkan audit

Tugas dan Tanggungjawab

• Terlibat dalam merancang, menyelia, menyelaras, melaksanakan dan menugaskan tugasan audit
• Mengenal pasti dan menyampaikan isu audit, perkara teknikal dan peluang penambahbaikan dengan pengurus dan rakan kongsi untuk menyelesaikan isu pelanggan yang ditemui semasa proses audit
• Mempunyai pemahaman yang kukuh tentang prinsip perakaunan dan pengauditan (contohnya MFRS/IFRS/MPERS/CA 2016 dan ISA), piawaian kawalan kualiti dan prosedur pelaksanaan teknologi
• Melaksanakan projek khas (kerja yang tidak berkaitan dengan audit) (cth: semakan usaha wajar dan sebagainya)
• Membangun dan mengekalkan hubungan kerja yang cemerlang dengan semua peringkat kakitangan pelanggan untuk meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan dan mengeratkan hubungan pelanggan
• Mengekalkan dan mematuhi piawaian profesional, kerahsiaan pelanggan dan tingkah laku peribadi yang tertinggi
• Menjadualkan, mewakilkan dan menyemak kerja seorang atau lebih kakitangan, menyokong latihan di tempat kerja dan menilai prestasi mereka.

Keperluan

• Mempunyai sekurang-kurangnya Ijazah Sarjana Muda dalam Perakaunan atau Kewangan, atau mereka yang mempunyai profesional penuh atau separa
• kelayakan (MICPA, ACCA, ICAEW, ICAA, CPA(A) atau CIMA)
• Sekurang-kurangnya 5 tahun pengalaman audit luaran yang berkaitan
• Celik komputer dengan pengetahuan tentang aplikasi MS Office
• Pengetahuan dalam Penglibatan ProSystem fx akan menjadi kelebihan tambahan
• Pengalaman yang terlibat dalam peranan pengurusan akan menjadi kelebihan tambahan
• Pengalaman yang terlibat dalam audit PLC dan penglibatan yang mematuhi MFRS adalah satu kelebihan tambahan

Job Summary

• Assist the top management to oversee day-to-day operations of multiple engagements
• Involved with management of legal, regulatory, and accounting issues that arise during audit engagements
• Responsible for supervision and management of services to clients, including preparation of audit strategy and business plans, setting budgets, scheduling audits

Duties and Responsibilities

• Involved in planning, supervising, coordinating, performing and assigning audit engagements
• Identify and communicate audit issues, technical matters and improvement opportunities with managers and partners to resolve client issues discovered during the audit process
• Possess solid understanding of accounting and auditing principles (e.g MFRS/IFRS/MPERS/CA 2016 and ISA), quality control standards and technology implementation procedures
• Performs special projects (non-audit related jobs) (e.g: due diligence review and etc)
• Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with all levels of client staff to increase customer satisfaction and to strengthen client relationships
• Maintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality and personal conduct
• Schedule, delegate, and review the work of one or more staff members, support on-the-job training, and evaluate their performance.

Requirements

• Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or those with a full or partial professional
• qualification (MICPA, ACCA, ICAEW, ICA, ICAA, CPA(A) or CIMA)
• At least 5 years of relevant external audit experience
• Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office applications
• Knowledge in ProSystem fx Engagement will be an added advantage
• Experience involved in managerial role will be an added advantage
• Experience involved in audit of PLC and engagement in compliance with MFRS is an added advantage
• Self-motivated, positive attitude, strong drive to excel professionally, and to guide and motivate others
