The Community Health Visitor (CHV) will deliver health and social integrated care for mother and child, focusing on antenatal and postnatal care, developmental-centred parenting, parent-child interaction and family well-being, with the aim of optimising every child's potential for healthy growth and development. The CHV is the keyworker who will support the mother-child dyad and family through home visits and clinic service touchpoints, also providing service coordination between patient/client/family with healthcare and social service systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• To support the pregnant mother during the antenatal period by providing anticipatory care and advice to optimise health, nutrition and improve birth outcomes.
• Conduct mental wellness screenings and nutritional assessments for the pregnant mother, and to work with the trans-disciplinary team to make appropriate referrals when required.
• To support mother and main caregivers in the postnatal period in parentcraft skills.
• To build rapport and cultivate a positive relationship with parents/caregivers to impart child development knowledge and skills and facilitate parent-child bonding, developmental-centred parenting and family well-being.
• Conduct child development screening and work with the trans-disciplinary team to make family-centred recommendations.
• To collaborate and partner community and social service agencies, or hospital specialists to provide necessary support for client and family. This includes inter-agency case conferences and discussions.

Job requirements and Competencies:

• Degree in Early Childhood Development, Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, Special Education, Nursing or equivalent OR
• Diploma in Early Childhood Development, Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, Special Education, Nursing or an Advanced Healthcare related diploma from a recognized institution; with 2-3 years relevant work experience, which may include working with vulnerable children and families in a community setting or in infant and early childhood development (preferred).

The KKH Psychosocial Trauma Support Service (PTSS) is a dynamic team, who provide psychological and emotional support to help women, children and their families recover from traumatic experiences. Apart from hospital-based clinical work at KKH, PTSS is also involved in enhancing the capacity and capability of Singapore’s community to provide post crisis/traumapsycho-emotional support and interventions through its community project work.

We are looking for a fulltime Clinical Psychologist who is interested to work in a supportive environment, with opportunities for growth in both clinical work and community-basedproject work. The applicant would also be looking to contribute to the growth and development of the field of child trauma in Singapore.

As a PTSS Clinical Psychologist, you will be involved in:

• Hospital-based work: Specialised psycho-emotional assessments and interventions for women, children and families with trauma-related concerns in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
• Community-based project work: Conducting talks and training in the area of child trauma and support, and working together with the community on increased preparedness to respond to crisis and traumas for children and families in the community.
• Clinical training, professional individual and group supervision will be provided to develop your professional growth and expertise in the area of trauma work.

Requirements:

• MPsych in Clinical Psychology.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written), possess effective interpersonal skills and good psychological report writing skills.
• Possess relevant qualifications to obtain registration as a full member with a recognized professional body (e.g.,Singapore Psychological Society, Australian Psychological Society etc.)
• Relevant clinical and supervision experience
• Past clinical experience in child and/or trauma work is desirable but not a pre-requisite to be eligible for this position.
• Required for at least 4 years of relevant clinical experience in providing clinical supervision is desirable to be considered for Senior Psychologist position.
