Job Objectives:

Responsibilities:

As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing an organization and designing its processes and systems, assessing the business model and its integration with technology. You will evaluate the current state, identify customer requirements, and define the future state and business solutions.

Your role involves researching, gathering, and synthesizing information to support decision-making.

You are expected to be a subject matter expert, collaborate and manage the team to perform effectively, take responsibility for team decisions, engage with multiple teams, and contribute to key decisions.

Providing solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams is a critical part of your role.

Develop comprehensive process documentation and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and technology enhancements.

Support the integration of business processes with technology solutions to optimize operational efficiency.

Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to influence strategic decisions.

Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and validate proposed solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage fund accounting operations including NAV calculation/validation, P&L reconciliations, fee calculations, and month-end/year-end reporting.
• Oversee trade operations by reconciling trades, positions, and cash balances, monitoring settlements, processing corporate actions, and supporting Japan-listed equity transactions.
• Coordinate investor servicing activities, including subscription/redemption processing, investor reporting, capital account reconciliations, and side-pocket management.
• Support risk, compliance, and regulatory requirements through portfolio compliance monitoring, regulatory filings, audits, and review of Japanese legal documentation.
• Collaborate with fund administrators, prime brokers, custodians, auditors, and internal teams while driving process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in hedge fund operations, fund accounting, buy-side operations, or related investment operations functions.
• Strong knowledge of NAV calculations, fund accounting principles, trade settlements, reconciliations, and fund flow processes (subscriptions/redemptions).
• Experience working with prime brokers, custodians, fund administrators, and understanding front-, middle-, and back-office operational workflows.
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive, with advanced Excel skills; experience with Python, SQL, VBA, or process automation is a plus.

Description

We have an opening in our Research team for a Senior Associate or Vice President to conduct research into Vietnamese companies, sector coverage will be broad however primarily focus will include Consumer,Industrials and Financials sectors. This position will be based in Singapore. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Report to the Lead Analyst 
• Perform thorough research on the assigned sectors, including sector analysis, investment recommendation
• Perform company, sector research, including commercial & financial analysis, and equity valuation
• Develop and maintain close relationship with foreign institutional clients
• Engage in public relation and marketing activity to promote the Jefferies’s brand image and reputation including presentation to clients in Vietnam and abroad

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Vietnamese language skills for partnership and analysis of local companies.
• Good understanding of Vietnam’s financial markets
• Strong finance and accounting background. Minimum 3-6 years of work experience in investment analysis. Candidates with working experience in an international and diverse environment preferrable.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, banking or economics. MBA or CFA is an asset.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, ability to perform qualitative industry and business analysis
• Team player and able to work with other sector Researchers.
