The Technical Manager is responsible for all technical operational activities, managing the technical department as well as providing engineering & planning services for tender and support services to projects.

A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

• Overall responsible for all permanent and temporary works design and design optimization by managing the appointed consultant to ensure that project is delivered within budget
• Responsible for handling client and consultant, coordinate with consultants, client and authorities for design matters and submission.
• Oversee the shop drawings submission and issuance, planning and control delivery of design schedule, monitoring the progress
• Coordinate and support the construction and other departments within the project to fulfil design requirement
• Resolve all technical queries and submit/raise Request for Approval / Information (RFA/I) to concern parties to clarify any ambiguous design details
• Review technical specifications and proposals submitted by Consultants / Subcontractors / Suppliers and produce procurement specifications
• Adherence to safety practices in the work place

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Education: Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university endorsed by PE Board or qualification acceptable to the Commissioner of Building Control

Job Description

• Liaise and assist Managing Director in responding to request for quotation from prospective clients both local and overseas
• Manage and coordinate preparation of pre-tender documentation and response to tender clarifications and amendments involved and attends tender meetings leading to award of tenders
• Prepare contract documents for control and implementation of contract administration and reviews commercial aspects of contract and agreement with clients & sub-contractors
• Assist the Project Managers in preparation of monthly progress payment and ensure successful claim of progress payment
• Attend site meetings with Project Staff as and when required
• Assist Project Managers in preparation of variation order and keep comprehensive record on work alteration and design amendment etc
• Liaise closely with Main Contractor and Client’s Q/S in regard to claims and negotiation of claims and finalisation of account
• Prepared budgets and cash flow projection in conjunction with Directors, Project Managers and Financial Controller
• Assist in negotiation of sub-contractors packages and preparation of sub-contractor or supplier agreement letters
• Analyse scope of work in project and contract for effective contract administration in conjunction with interpretation of architectural and shop drawings
• Liaise with Financial Controller and in conjunction with Project Managers control
• Monitor Project cost and prepare general financial administration
• Report example Cost history for contract negotiation and budget
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Possess excellent interpersonal skills/people management skills, good communication skills and negotiation skills and strong leadership qualities.
• Efficient, Good Analytical Skills and Able to work independently.
• Candidates with QS or Contracts background is advantageous.
• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
• At Least 5 years of Experience in Civil Works.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, Primavera and AutoCad.
• Able to start work immediately or within short notice.

Job Summary

The Duty Manager oversees front office daily operations to ensure team efficiency and service excellence. This role involves developing operational plans, managing VIP guest services, monitoring room inventory, and driving service recovery and compliance.

Responsibilities

Manage front office operations

• Collaborate with departments to fulfill guests' special requirements and requests
• Develop and implement operational plans aligned with front office procedures and service standards
• Identify and resolve deviations and irregularities in front office services to maintain quality
• Manage personalised reception services for VIP guest arrivals and departures
• Monitor front office operations to ensure compliance with organisational standards and procedures
• Track room inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accuracy
• Control and maintain accurate inventory of all room keys
• Respond to incoming emails promptly and follow up on required actions
• Ensure luggage storage in the baggage room is controlled, recorded, and orderly at all times
• Review operational reports and statistics to monitor and report departmental performance
• Update digital signage daily with accurate information on F&B activities and events

Drive service and operational excellence

• Build and maintain guest relationships to encourage repeat visits
• Engage with guests to collect feedback on service quality for continuous improvement
• Manage service recovery for escalated guest concerns, maintaining proper records
• Oversee team service performance to meet guests’ needs and ensure satisfaction
• Review and recommend improvements to systems and processes to enhance workflow and productivity
• Manage departmental operating expenses to stay within budget

Manage operational risks

• Respond effectively to emergency situations to ensure guest and staff safety
• Implement compliance management for data protection and organisational security in guest registration and financial transactions
• Report all emergencies and incidents immediately during night shifts with proper documentation

Team Management

• Provide mentoring and guidance to enhance staff work performance
• Conduct daily briefings to align team objectives and updates
• Maintain accurate daily operations records
• Participate in meetings as required

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Strong working knowledge of Opera system
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Availability to work shifts including weekends and public holidays

• Responsible for full set of accounts, including preparation of management accounts
• Ensure the timely closing of accounts and preparation of consolidation schedules
• Work with stakeholders in other finance functions and Finance Shared Services Centre to prepare financial reporting, tax reporting, statutory reporting and ad-hoc reporting for assigned entities
• Work closely with Finance Business Partners to monitor and manage cash flow, including intercompany loans and working capital requirements
• Support operations by liaising closely with line of businesses
• Support the internal and external audit processes.
• Preparation of tax computations and support in clarification of tax queries
• Review of bank & intercompany reconciliations and GST filing
• Preparation of statutory financial statements & XBRL filing
• Perform finance analysis which includes revenue and expense analysis at cost center level
• Perform compliance checks on internal processes
• Supervise and guide team members
• Other ad-hoc assignments including, but not limited to, system project assignments etc.

Job Requirements:

• Recognised degree in Accounting or equivalent professional qualification, preferably CA 4-6 years of relevant working experience, ideally with initial years in a Big 4 audit firm followed by commercial experience
• Conversant with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (International) and other regulatory compliance requirements of listed companies
• Self-driven, meticulous, energetic, proactive, good team player, good interpersonal and communication skills, and a keen analytical mind
• Must be able and willing to accept intra-department or inter-division transfers/job rotations, and henceforth changes in work scope and responsibilities
• Proficient with MS Office applications and knowledge in SAP S4 Hana and One Stream consolidation system will be advantageous
