We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Engineer to join our growing team.
Job Summary:
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving sales and business development efforts in the pure water and waste water sector. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and sales acumen to effectively communicate our solutions and foster relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering, knowledge of waste water treatment processes, and a passion for contributing to a sustainable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the pure water and waste water industry, including municipal and industrial clients.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to ensure solutions meet client specifications.
Prepare and submit proposals, quotes, and technical documentation for projects.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and competitor activities to enhance sales strategies.
Attend industry conferences and trade shows to promote our products and services.
Provide post-sale support to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Monitor and report on sales performance, targets, and forecasts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or related) or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience in sales or technical support within the pure water and waste water industry or related field.
Strong understanding of waste water treatment processes and technologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a talent for building relationships.
Good command of both written and spoken English, Mandarin and Malay.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and site visits.

1. Process Design and Engineering
Develop process solutions for pure water, ultra-pure water (UPW), wastewater treatment, and water reclamation systems based on client requirements and water quality data.
Evaluate and optimize treatment processes to achieve technical and economic objectives.
Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and process design documents.
Perform engineering calculations, including:
Water balance calculations
Chemical dosing calculations
Membrane system design
Tank sizing calculations
Hydraulic calculations
Sludge generation calculations
2. Equipment Selection and Cost Estimation
Select and specify major treatment equipment, including:
Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems
Ultrafiltration (UF) systems
Electrodeionization (EDI) systems
Mixed Bed systems
Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) systems
Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) systems
Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) systems
Filter Presses
Prepare equipment lists and Bills of Materials (BOM).
Conduct project cost estimation and budget preparation.
Coordinate with suppliers on technical specifications and quotations.
3. Technical Support and Client Communication
Participate in technical discussions, site surveys, and client meetings.
Review and analyze water quality reports and treatment requirements.
Prepare technical proposals, technical specifications, and tender documents.
Provide technical support to the sales and business development teams.
Respond to client inquiries and recommend process improvements where necessary.
4. Project Execution Support
Provide technical handover and engineering support to project execution teams.
Support procurement activities by clarifying technical requirements.
Assist with system commissioning, start-up, and process optimization.
Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues during project implementation and operation.
