• Organize and lead bid kick-off, progress, and review meetings with all contributors. 

• Maintain relationships with external consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors as needed for design input or proposal content. 

Process Improvement & Tools Management 

• Drive improvements in bid workflows, templates, and documentation standards. ·  

• Standardize design and estimation processes across the region. 

• Implement QA/QC protocols for all technical submissions. 

• Ensure consistent use of digital collaboration platforms (Office 365, SharePoint, NetSuite). 

• Maintain and improve the bid library, content repository, and pricing templates. 

• Maintain a repository of design templates, pricing tools, and reference projects. 

• Champion data driven decision-making and process automation where applicable. 

Reporting & Pipeline Management 

• Provide bid progress updates, risk flags, and performance metrics to the Group Bid Manager. 

• Monitor and report on team workload, pipeline activity, and regional win rates. 

• Track and support updates in NetSuite related to sales opportunities and bid milestones. 

Who we are looking for  

We are looking for a dynamic and hands on professional with a strong background in bid management, technical design, or pre-sales—ideally within the security, construction, or ICT sectors. The ideal candidate will have 5–7+ years of relevant experience and at least 2 years in a leadership role, with a proven ability to manage complex, multi-regional bids and lead high-performing teams. You possess a solid understanding of system integration design and pricing is essential, along with excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. 

Skills & Experience Required 

• 6 - 8+ years of experience in bid management, technical design, or pre-sales roles in security, construction, ICT, or related industries. Minimum 2-3 years in prior leadership roles.  

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or Security Systems) or equivalent. 

• Strong knowledge of security technologies: IP CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, intercoms, perimeter systems. 

• Proficiency in design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam), estimation software, and MS Excel. 

• Familiarity with enterprise security platforms (e.g., Genetec, Milestone, LenelS2). 

• Demonstrated ability to lead large, multi-disciplinary bids across multiple regions. 

• Strong technical understanding of design solutions and pricing in a systems integration context. 

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. 

• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), SharePoint, and bid portals.

The Senior Design Manager – Data Center is responsible for managing the design and delivery of mission-critical data center projects. This role leads multidisciplinary design teams, ensures technical excellence, and drives projects from concept through construction while meeting performance, cost, and schedule objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design Management

• Lead the design development process from feasibility to detailed design
• Manage external consultants (architects, MEP engineers, specialists)
• Ensure design compliance with company standards and industry best practices
• Review and approve drawings, specifications, and technical submissions

2. Project Execution

• Deliver multiple data center projects simultaneously
• Track design progress against schedule and budget
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies early

3. Technical Oversight

• Coordinate electrical, mechanical, and civil/structural systems design
• Ensure high availability and redundancy (e.g., N+1, 2N configurations)

4. Stakeholder Coordination

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering (Master’s preferred)

About The Role

Manage MWS Facilities' planning and development projects; from planning & design, costing & programming, tender process to construction & final completion. Work with respective centres, appointed consultants and contractors to ensure project meeting design standard, time schedule, budget and project objectives in enhancing care and services in a conducive environment.

Responsibilities

SPECIFIC

• Facilitate project work group/users discussion to formulate project design brief for preliminary space planning, budgeting and timeline scheduling.

• Should consultancy services is required, determine scope of consultancy work, invite RFQ/tender evaluate and recommend the appointment of consultant. Manage and monitor performance of consultants.

• Review and develop conceptual/schematic/detailed planning and design, facilitate sign-off by respective stake holders/users.

• Review and develop specifications and drawings for tender, evaluate tender submissions and recommend tender awards.

• Manage contractor to ensure compliance to EHS requirement, infection control and house-rules and regulations.

• Ensure compliance of relevant local authorities’ requirement and certification.

• Monitor and ensure timely completion, manage progress, identify critical milestone and escalate issues early to clear critical path and road block.

• Conduct site inspection and handover activities with Operation and users. Ensure work done by contractors meeting good design standard and achieve good environmental outcome.

• Manage project cost within budget. Conduct value engineering and cost cutting exercise to achieve cost effectiveness.

• Support and provide technical/ design advice to operating centres in respective trained specialty and experience.

GENERAL

• Review and support continuous improvement in design integration – set design guideline/perimeter and standard control pertaining to department’s operation.

• Actively participate in improvement efforts, e.g. Environmental & Green sustainability design, Environmental health and safety initiatives

• Perform other assigned duties.
