Role Overview

This is a 1 year contract role.

As a Senior Executive, you will support and drive the delivery of SHRI’s membership and events initiatives, ensuring high-quality execution, meaningful member engagement, and smooth operations across programmes. Responsibilities

Membership

• Manage day-to-day membership administrative tasks, including processing new applications, renewal workflows, and updating member records and finance follow-ups.

• Coordinate the end-to-end member journey, from enquiry and onboarding to renewal and ongoing engagement

• Analyse data to track recruitment, retention and engagement, and prepare monthly reports for management and Council.

Events

• Liaise with vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth event delivery and positive participant experience.

• Track event participation, feedback, and outcomes to support continuous improvement.

Governance, Reporting & Coordination

• Coordinate Council meetings, Annual General Meetings (AGM), including the preparation of presentation slides, logistics, and accurate minute-taking.

• Ensure that all membership processes remain compliant with internal policies and constitutional requirements.

• Act as liaison between members, partners, vendors and internal teams to ensure a seamless membership experience.

• Work closely with the Marcoms team to support membership EDMs, campaigns, and outreach materials.

• Prepare regular membership and engagement reports and summaries for internal stakeholders.

• Analyse membership and event data to support reporting, insights, and recommendations.

• Act as the key liaison with clients, authorities, consultants, contractors, and service providers, addressing operational issues and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

• Supervise FM Executives, technicians, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring compliance with safety, statutory, and contractual requirements.

• Monitor contractor performance, fault rectification, incident response, and service recovery to ensure operational efficiency.

• Prepare and review operational reports, maintenance records, KPI reports, quotations, procurement requests, and related documentation.

• Support improvement initiatives, upgrading projects, digitalisation efforts, sustainability programmes, and energy-saving initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with workplace safety, fire safety, environmental regulations, and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Non-Marine (Property, Construction, Energy, Engineering and Liability) insurance policies/covers for large and complex commercial risks in Singapore and other Middle East/APAC territories
• Manage ongoing insurance broker relations and expectations in relation to underwriting, co-ordinating and ensuring the flow of relevant and timely information and communication between internal functions and external parties
• Contribute to managing and developing an agreed portfolio of accounts, negotiate with brokers/customers to achieve favourable terms for the Company
• Underwrite allocated cases in line with the agreed processes with the necessary senior direction and support; underwrite risks in accordance with the Company’s capacity and risk appetite
• Review relevant classes of proposals (case by case) and making balanced and well-reasoned recommendation for acceptance of each case above one's authority
• Provide error-free documentation to brokers/customers
• Ensure transactions are processed within the agreed timeframe; supervise and guide the allocated processing team to ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions
• Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and guidelines, including internal policies, rules and procedures
• Develop own skills/knowledge in the functional area with the aim of enhancing the quality of work and achievement of KPIs

Requirements

• At least 10 years' re/insurance underwriting experience in large/complex commercial risks segment; specific experience in the Middle East and/or APAC region is an added bonus
• SCI qualification/Membership of Chartered Insurance Institute (UK) or equivalent; a Degree in engineering or a related technical discipline will be ideal
• Compensation and job title will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience level; salary range stated in this job posting is meant as a guide only

• Knowledge of commercial insurance underwriting process and market practices
• Understanding of reinsurance concept and practices
