As part of our Community Engagement team, you will be involved in managing events and campaigns that drive awareness and outreach. Your role will contribute directly to supporting and empowering children with chronic illnesses and their families.

Community Integration Responsibilities

• Assist the staff-in-charge in the planning, coordination, and execution of CRS’ annual signature events, as well as VIA (Values in Action) and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives for beneficiaries and their families.
• Support the coordination and delivery of programmes with corporate, institutional, and community partners, ensuring effective communication, alignment, and seamless execution.

• Engage and coordinate volunteers to ensure smooth programme operations and meaningful interactions with beneficiaries.
• Liaise with beneficiaries’ families on programme participation and provide on-site operational support to ensure a safe and positive experience.
• Contribute proactively to additional projects and responsibilities within the team, as assigned by the supervisor.

Other Operational Support (Ad-hoc)

• Process and Fulfil Merchandise Sales (Individual and Corporate Orders)

1. Manage end-to-end order fulfilment for both individual and corporate orders, including packing merchandise, coordinating delivery or self-collection, and sending order confirmations through the e-commerce system
2. Assist walk-in customers by providing basic product information

• Support Merchandise Booth Operations

1. Prepare and pack materials for on-site activation events, including stocks, props, price lists
2. Support booth setup and tear down
3. Engage patrons and support in-person sales during events

What you’ll do

• Create & Manage Social Content: Develop, design (using simple tools like Canva is fine!), and schedule engaging content (posts, stories, short videos, graphics) specifically tailored for our key social media platforms: Lemon8, TikTok, and Instagram.
• Drive Organic Growth: Implement and experiment with strategies to grow our organic social media following and attract new users to sign up across these platforms.
• Engage the Community: Monitor social channels (Lemon8, TikTok, Instagram) and actively engage with our telegram user community, responding to comments, messages, and fostering positive interactions.
• Merchant Onboarding Support: Assist new merchants joining the platform – guiding them through profile setup, explaining the process, and helping them list their initial group buy deals.
• Customer & Merchant Support: Provide friendly and helpful first-level support for basic inquiries from users and merchants via email, social media DMs, or other support channels.
• Identify Opportunities: Research relevant trends on Lemon8, TikTok, and Instagram, identify potential online communities or micro-influencers for organic outreach, and keep an eye on the group buying landscape.
• Track & Report: Monitor basic social media metrics (engagement, follower growth) and provide feedback on what content formats and experimental approaches are working best.

What we’re looking for:

• You’re a strong communicator with excellent writing skills, able to craft engaging messages for different audiences and platforms, especially visual-first ones like TikTok, Instagram, and Lemon8.
• You have a creative flair and a good eye for what makes compelling social media content.
• You're proactive, naturally curious, and embrace a spirit of experimentation – you're excited to try new content formats, engagement tactics, and platforms.
• You're genuinely interested in social media (especially Lemon8, TikTok, Instagram), online communities, e-commerce, and the group buying concept.

Job tasks

The successful candidate will assist in work towards identifying personas. Responsibilities include conducting digital ethnography, thematic content analysis, and focus groups. The successful candidate will conduct literature reviews, produce research summaries, pen research plans, recruit participants, and ensure compliance with research ethics and data privacy requirements.

This role includes some project management, including coordinating tasks, tracking and reporting process, and collaborating closely with the research team.  They will also be required to support research admin and deliverables such as reports/journal articles, workshops and webinars.

Qualifications

Applicants should have at least or close to obtaining a PhD in the Social Sciences/Humanities, Computing or other relevant disciplines, and demonstrated research experience in communication and new media. The candidate should have an interest in and knowledge of online harms and online communities, and be familiar with data collection using API and social media listening tools. Familiarity with Singapore’s socio-cultural landscape is an advantage. Applicants would ideally have experience in quantitative and qualitative research relevant to this multidisciplinary project. What you’ll be doing:

• Process Optimisation: Codify and improve the community management processes to ensure scalability, consistency and high-quality member experience.

• Members Insights: Establish a continuous feedback loop through surveys to identify and act on key drivers of members satisfaction.

• Digital Engagement & Community Support: Actively managing WhatsApp channel to disseminate event updates, coordinate logistics and provide responses to community-related questions.

• Assist in the development and execution of advertising and promotional campaigns for Republic Plaza and other malls, as needed, to draw traffic and encourage spending
