What you'll be doing
Maintain the general ledger and prepare accurate journal entries.
Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and financial schedules.
Prepare monthly financial reports for business units and management.
Compile and submit half-yearly consolidation packages.
Handle statutory reporting, including audit coordination, income tax, and GST submissions.
Liaise with corporate secretarial agents for statutory filings and compliance matters.
Coordinate with bankers on banking facilities and financial matters.
Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting and financial analysis.
Guide and review the work of junior finance team members.
Work closely with other departments to resolve operational finance issues, such as process gaps and documentation inconsistencies.
Assist in process enhancements and system implementation initiatives.
Perform other finance-related and ad-hoc tasks as assigned
What we're looking for
Recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA) or relevant degree in Accounting
Minimum 5 years' experiences in handling full set of accounts
Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices and regulatory requirements
Proficient in the use of accounting software (e.g.: AutoCount/Quick Book/SAP B1) and MS Office applications
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
