In this role you will be part of a Field Service team providing a prompt and effective service to customers within the Water, Power, Petrochemical oil & gas and other associated Industries.  

In this role you will identify faults, repair, test and modify actuators in the field, carry out planned and preventative maintenance, mechanical and electrical installations of actuators and associated retrofit adaption of components, pedestals and drive shafts and completing accurate and technical site visit reports for each job.

This role would suit a determined problem-solver, who can think logically for troubleshooting issues and has the willingness to travel.

The main purpose of the Service Administrator is to support Service Manager and wider service team with essential administration tasks whilst ensuring compliance is followed.  The role requires someone with the ability to multitask, work at a fast pace and execute actions with a high degree of accuracy. You will be required to work independently on tasks whilst also forming a key part of the Service Team.

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:

Supporting service engineers in preparing documents for projects, shutdown activities etc.

Sending requested technical information to customers, locating this on the Rotork Internal Management System and emailing them as appropriate.

To maintain the data management system, which includes sales order registration, order entry and service order and revenue.

Any other duties deemed suitable in support of the department.

Purpose of the Job:

As Senior Inside Sales & Contracts Specialist, you are responsible for preparation of timely quotes for customers and accurate entry of orders into the system including updates where required. This role functions as the primary point of contact for customers in obtaining Quote and order status, milestone tracking and any other required updates from time of quote receipt through order acknowledgement and until final shipment. 

Inside Sales

• Review customer requests for quotation (RFQ), including technical and commercial specifications. Identify cost effective best suited engineered product for the application.
• Size and select appropriate Rotork products and communicate this information to customers using established format.
• Produce accurate and detailed technical quotes with supporting documentation and drawings for standard and customised solutions proposal to meet customer requested bid date. Clarify any deviations, assumptions or exceptions to customer project specifications and state recommendations.
• Interface with cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Management) to review projects and develop a plan of action prior to quotation and after receipt of order.
• Ensure customers’ requirements are completely and adequately transferred to Contracts.
• Contact point for specific products / applications.
• Partner with the Outside Sales to build customer relationships
• Discuss solutions with customers to drive orders

Contracts

• Responsible for order entry and contractual activities from order receipt through shipment. 
• Maintain applicable project plans and reports in support of both internal stakeholders, as well as the customer. 
• Liaison between all departments (sales, engineering, quality, production) within Rotork factories to ensure the fulfilment of customer requirements. 
• First point of contact for customer escalations, changes to scope, and requests to expedite delivery. 
• Provide technical phone support and serve as a resource for our customers, representatives, distributors, Business Development and Area Sales Managers to help promote Rotork.    
• To organise the working day so that priorities are addressed, customer expectations are met and internal delays reduced
• To seek and implement improvements within the department and the wider company where appropriate
• Update all systems for accurate output forecasting and reporting

• A proven track record of achieving sales targets
• Build, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Utilize advanced sales techniques, including market trend forecasting and in-depth analysis, to drive growth and innovation.
• A good command of the English language (spoken and written)
• Technical sales experience of any electro-mechanical product. Worked within an engineering environment/ firm.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless alignment between business units, challenging siloed thinking when necessary.
• Willingness to travel extensively
• Capable of communicating at all levels and have strong business acumen

What You Will Do

As a Rotork Apprentice, you’ll combine academic learning with real engineering work, gaining skills across our products, equipment, and service operations.

Your Responsibilities

• Complete all health and safety training and documentation requirements.
• Participate in learning opportunities in the workshop, field and manufacturing facilities.   
• Adhere to the apprenticeship programme and follow the rotation plan.
• Produce the relevant documentary evidence of learning in the workplace.
• Complete all required assessments.
• Build good working relationships with other colleagues.
• Regularly report to line management and training provider regarding work and learning progress

Key role responsibilities and learning outcomes

• Responsible for the health and safety of yourself and the workplace.
• Produce / review risk assessments and method statements in line with requirements.
• Receive all manufacturers’ actuators and gearboxes, clean, strip and determine their condition. Create a report listing the labour and materials necessary to carry out the repair or overhaul.  Prepare a quotation based on these results.
• Carry out the repair/overhaul and test the unit on the workshop test rig prior to creating and issuing a new test certificate.
• Carry out factory fitting of valves/actuators.
• Learn how to assemble electrohydraulic, electro-mechanical, electric actuators and gearboxes.
• Any other duty reasonably associated with this role when required.
