Editorial

• Assist or execute major news projects and special cross-platform coverage
• Assist or lead live coverage, including breaking news, wheels and special events, when necessary
• Script and produce explainers and backgrounders
• Suggest follow up stories and/or improvements to existing stories
• Exercise editorial experience to make calls on how to prioritise certain news content over others
• Be the final gatekeeper against errors by combing scripts for typos, factual inaccuracies and incorrect technical instructions

 Production

• Be technically adept at TV production, including being able to use various audio and video editing software and the Octopus word processing tool
• Ensure all technical commands are correctly coded in good time for air
• Be able to illustrate stories by commissioning maps and other graphics, checking relevant national broadcasters and news feeds
• Line produce News Tonight and Singapore Tonight news bulletins
• Manage rundowns by trimming stories, dropping content and/or adding last minute news items
• Manage the timing and duration of new bulletin.
• Handle live coverage with a reporter and/or camera crew on location

Qualifications

• Possess a relevant Degree
• At least 2 years of journalism experience
• Working knowledge using newsroom editing systems
• Excellent command of English
• Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
• Be prepared to work irregular hours

YES 933 is Singapore's number one Mandarin hit music stationwith the latest entertainment and trend-setting news for the young and vibrant.You will be responsible for working with the Morning Drive Time and EveningDrive Time team.

Scope of the role

Coordinate the content and programming line-up for ourflagship radio show and will report to the Program Director. The producer actsas the critical link between guests, presenters, technical, editorial and programming support.

 Key Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver excellent, original radio programming and daily rundown from Monday to Friday in close cooperation with Programming Director and MDT & EDT team, including talk-set time management, ability to know and lookout for pitfalls, tech difficulties or dangerous content, proof-reading all content, and maintaining and updating story arcs of MDT and EDT team
• Be completely familiar with show format/concept/ideology/humor
• Brainstorm with MDT and EDT team regarding topics/story ideas/guests, to generate content and ideas for benchmarks
• Manage a calendar, including topics where a follow up is required (e.g., Anniversaries, including forward thinking grid planning for topics and segments)
• Create, Collect and Contribute to and make use of an archive of audio resources which can be re-used, whether externally or from the team
• Collaborate with MDT and EDT team to create and produce daily, weekly and monthly rotated trailers for various benchmarks and dayparts
• Plan and book guests for “live” interview segment and work with the Social Media Community Manager to ensure all interviews are pushed out on social media platforms with immediacy, including creating a stable of experts for various genres
• Generate video / social media content for daily, weekly output for benchmarks and segments, including editing video content, across different platforms as well as supporting the station in managing its TikTok presence by planning programmes, brainstorming content ideas with jocks, and aligning on-air content with digital storytelling
• Support MDT team and Station with content creation for station-related promo campaigns, and brand-building outreach
• Have a complete and updated understanding of copyright and media law
• Ensure the growth of ratings for MDT n EDT
• Actively participate in station events planning and execution
• Involve in station programming planning for the year
• Provide mentorship to newbies
• Work closely, research and plan events with Music Label, Concert promoter, Movie distributors, Institute of Learning and other associations/partners.

Foundational competencies

• Production experience in the broadcast media (radio, video, social media) and an awareness of what makes good entertainment radio
• Keen ear and eye for local and international hot points, trending news and general knowledge, with an ability to get to groups with new subject matter quickly while staying relevant to the TA
• Strong interest in social media and digital trends
• A real interest in, and curiosity about, all sorts of people, and be able to make connections between different ideas and subjects
• Proficient in applications such as Pro-tools, as Pro-tools, basic knowledge of photo editing and image design apps such as Photoshop and Illustrator, any video editing software.
• An understanding how to do live streaming for Facebook, Instagram and TikTok
• Ability to work irregular hours occasionally, depending on shift patterns

Qualifications

• Possess at least Diploma in any discipline
• 1 year working experience preferred
• Good proficiency in Chinese language both spoken and written, in order to write scripts for the Chinese radio station
• Impeccable judgment and ability to work under stressful and fast-changing conditions, including working as a team and also independently
• Strong research, interviewing, creative, improvisational and production skills
• Creative, meticulous and organized with good forward-planning skills
• Be willing to embrace new technology and learn other technical skills

Job Description

Purpose of the role

To conduct maintenance activities to ensure high level of operability and reliability of M&E systems in Mediacorp Campus.

Scope of the role

• Attend and resolve daily operational matters with regard to M&E systems and liaise with Estate Management for areas that required interface
• To perform standby duties outside office hours to support servicing work and continuity of services at major events and / or "live" transmission of critical programmes
• Able to interpret single line diagram, control schematic and perform trouble shooting and hands on for minor repair
• Stay contactable 24 x 7 for prompt attention to critical abnormalities

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the execution of electrical project and maintenance works (UPS, generators, HT and LT switchgears, transformers, battery chargers, etc) on-site
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors and suppliers to ensure timely completion of works
• Prepare tender documents for maintenance contracts and project works
• Responds to BMS alerts, investigate and feedback on any outstanding issues or events and respond to emergency situations and be on standby duty if required
• Technical supervision of the operation, maintenance and repair of all mission critical equipment and systems supporting 24x7 activities to achieve 100% uptime
• Maintain compliance with local workplace safety & health (WSH) standards and local codes
• Provide guidance to junior engineers in the electrical team

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with minimum 5 to 8 years' relevant experience
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in power monitoring and control systems
• Proficiency in the operation and maintenance of generators and UPS systems
• Familiarity with lighting systems and their design, installation, and troubleshooting
• In-depth understanding of high-voltage and low-voltage switchgears
