About the Role

• Position Title: QA Executive
• Working Location: Pandan Loop
• Working Hours: 5 days (Mon – Fri, 6.00am – 2.00pm)

Key Responsibilities

• Attend container unpacking and carry out quality checks when goods arrive.
• Check pulp temperature, packaging condition, pallet condition, carton labelling, and overall shipment condition.
• Inspect fruit for defects such as bruising, decay, softness, dehydration, physical damage, mould, sunburn, shrivelling, and other quality issues.
• Verify product quality against purchase specifications and supplier agreements.
• Monitor product quality during storage and distribution.
• Carry out regular warehouse quality checks and stock rotation checks.
• Recommend sorting, repacking, disposal, or sales actions based on product condition.
• Ensure cold chain conditions are maintained during handling and storage.
• Prepare detailed Arrival Quality Reports (AQR) with inspection findings and photos.
• Record quality issues with supporting evidence for internal reference and supplier communication.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and quality databases.
• Prepare documents to support supplier quality claims, including reports, photos, temperature records, invoices, and disposal records where needed.
• Coordinate with surveyors, insurers, and suppliers during quality investigations.
• Support the Sales team by responding to customer quality enquiries and feedback.
• Monitor product quality and market feedback at wholesale markets and key customer locations.
• Collect feedback on product appearance, sizing, colour, taste quality, and shelf life.
• Share observations and recommendations with procurement and management teams.
• Follow Singapore Food Agency (SFA) requirements and company food safety procedures.
• Maintain proper hygiene and cleanliness during inspection work.
• Support internal audits and continuous improvement activities.

• Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Agriculture, Horticulture, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in fresh produce quality control or quality assurance preferred.
• Able to work independently and communicate clearly with suppliers and customers.

Overall Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager, QA in daily running of the department, ensuring daily checks are in place and that necessary quality, safety and compliance are adhered to

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure that daily quality and safety checks are in place, checklists completed and submitted to reporting officer for reference and follow-up
• Execute and monitor procedures related to daily production
• Monitor process flows and ensure its compliance to established parameters
• Evaluate the services of sub-contracted service, for example pest control, cleaning contractors, etc
• Plan and monitor shelf-life studies for current and new products
• Attend daily briefing with operation and action plan for improvement
• Assist with customer complaints or feedback and when microbiological limits have been deviated
• Conduct FSSC and ISO 22000, GMP and local food authorities’ requirements (SFA/MUIS/NEA) training for relevant staff
• Assist reporting officer in pest control routines
• Implement Workplace Safety and Health initiatives planned by QA & Compliance Manager
• Carry out other administrative and operational-related duties in and support the QA & Compliance Department
• Conduct risk assessment profiling for products, ingredients and product contact materials
• Any other duties assigned by reporting officer or Head of Department

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Food Science and Technology, Food Nutrition and Dietetics
• Completed ISO, FSSC, HACCP and/or Risk Management course
• Candidates with 1 to 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment will be an added advantage
• Experience in ISO, HACCP, Risk Management and GMP is an advantage
• Proactive, resourceful and adaptable
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
• Good communications, interpersonal and team interaction skills
• Good diplomacy (to liaise with external parties such as SFA customers, vendors and other government

As a QA Executive for Amber, you will play a key role in ensuring the overall quality and performance of the product NextGen Management Systems as well as client websites/applications. You will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless and reliable platform for our users. You will ensure that the platform meets high standards of functionality, usability, and security, while continuously striving to enhance the overall user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning & Execution:Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on product requirements.
  Perform manual and automated testing to identify and troubleshoot software defects, ensuring the product meets all quality standards.
  
• Bug Tracking & Reporting:Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools.
  Collaborate with developers to communicate issues, provide details for resolution, and verify bug fixes.
  
• Regression & Performance Testing:Conduct regression testing to ensure previous functionality remains intact after new releases or updates.
  Execute performance, load, and stress testing to ensure the platform performs optimally under varying conditions.
  
• Collaboration:Work closely with developers, product managers, and UX/UI teams to understand requirements and participate in sprint planning meetings.
  Provide insights and feedback on user experience, and recommend improvements to enhance product functionality and usability.
  
• Documentation:Create and maintain detailed documentation for test plans, test scripts, and results.
  Prepare and present QA reports to management and stakeholders.
  
• Continuous Improvement:Stay updated on the latest testing methodologies and tools to continuously improve QA processes and tools.
  Identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency in testing.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in software testing or SaaS-based products.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience in manual and automated testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, or similar.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Basic understanding of programming languages like Java, Python, or SQL.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with testing in web applications.
• Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
• Basic understanding of security and compliance testing for web applications.
