A private UHNW family is seeking an experienced and highly polished Freelance Pre-School Educator to deliver a bespoke, in-home early childhood education programme. This role requires a candidate who can combine structured learning with creativity, while operating with the utmost discretion and professionalism within a private household environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver a personalised early years curriculum tailored to the child’s developmental stage (ages 1–5)
• Implement structured, play-based learning aligned with recognised frameworks (e.g., EYFS, Montessori, Reggio Emilia-inspired approaches)
• Support school readiness, including early literacy, numeracy, and social development
• Plan and execute engaging activities (arts, music, storytelling, sensory play, outdoor learning)
• Monitor and track developmental milestones; provide regular progress updates to parents
• Collaborate closely with parents, nannies, and other household staff to ensure consistency in routines and learning approach
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment at all times

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience, ideally within private households or premium/international pre-schools
• Strong understanding of early childhood frameworks (EYFS, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or equivalent)
• Experience working with high-profile or UHNW families is highly advantageous

Objectives

The main responsibility is to support class teachers in the care and development of children at the child development centres. He or She assists teachers when conducting lessons and other classroom activities. The assistant teacher assists to coach individual children who may be physically or educationally chanllenged; and work with small groups of children, with the teacher's direction.

The locations are Tampines and Pasir Ris.

Responsibilities

1) Child Development

• Applies child development knowledge to promote and support children's learning and holistic development specific to individual needs.

2) Learning Environments and Curriculum

• Assists teacher in preparing and presenting lessons plans materials or programmes to children in a one-to-one or group setting
• Assists in monitoring and supervising the children in the classroom, on field trips, mealtimes and other activities
• Assists in monitoring the class when teacher is occupied
• Assists children in routine and transition

3) Family Engagement

• Ability to interact and speak effectively with peers, children and parents in an open friendly business-like manner.

4) Administration

• Assists to make quick, responsible decisions regarding children's welfare and safety, including counseling them regarding conduct and self-discipline
• Provide administrative support for class recordkeeping and updating portfolio and communication book as required
• Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Requirements

• Certificate in Fundamentals in Early Childhood Care and Education (FECCE)
• Has a valid first aid certificate recognized by ECDA
• Has good communication skills
• Has effective instructional skills in meeting each child's learning style

Job Summary
