Role Purpose

We are seeking a versatile IT professional to fill a hybrid role that combines Deskside Support and System Engineering. Role Summary

We are seeking a LTSA (Long Term Service Agreement) Service Engineer to serve as Huawei’s on-site technical authority for our Smart String Energy Storage System (ESS) . You will be embedded at the customer’s facility, acting as the single point of contact for all technical matters under the LTSA. Your mission is to maximize system availability, ensure contractual compliance, and drive operational excellence for Huawei’s BESS solution, including battery cabinets, PCS, SACU, EMS.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational & Technical Oversight

• System Monitoring & Maintenance: Perform daily health checks, condition monitoring, and preventive maintenance on Huawei’s BESS components, including battery packs, Power Conversion Systems (PCS), Smart Array Controller Units (SACU), and thermal management systems.

As a Senior Linux Engineer / Team Lead, you are responsible to manage, maintain, and optimize our Linux-based infrastructure and associated technologies within our hybrid IT environment. Qualifications  

The ideal candidate should possess: 

• 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in Linux  

• Experience in Windows Server 2019, Window Powershell (scripting), Network 

• Routing and Switching and Microsoft Active Directory 

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) certification is a plus  

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline

About the Role

We are seeking System Engineers to support the design, implementation, administration, and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure environments supporting mission-critical operations.

This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale infrastructure platforms, virtualization technologies, automation initiatives, and high-availability systems within a structured enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, administer, and maintain enterprise infrastructure environments
• Manage Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, IIS, and related services
• Support and optimize VMware vSphere and/or Hyper-V virtualization platforms
• Monitor system health, performance, and availability to ensure operational stability
• Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions
• Perform patch management, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and security compliance activities
• Develop PowerShell scripts and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and technical issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects and operational requirements
• Participate in system upgrades, capacity planning, and technology refresh initiatives
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and system configurations
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing within the team
• Work with vendors and stakeholders to support infrastructure operations and enhancements

Requirements

Junior System Engineer

• Minimum 2 years of experience in system administration or infrastructure support
• Experience supporting Windows Server environments and Active Directory
• Exposure to virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Basic scripting or automation experience is advantageous

Senior System Engineer

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in system administration and infrastructure management
• Strong expertise in Windows Server and Active Directory administration
• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere or Hyper-V
• Experience in backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills
• Experience managing high-availability enterprise environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and practices
• SCCM, WSUS, or equivalent patch management platforms
• Monitoring solutions such as Splunk, ELK, or Prometheus
• Linux/Unix administration experience
• ITIL service management knowledge
• Network and cybersecurity knowledge
• Relevant Microsoft, VMware, or infrastructure-related certifications

Responsibilities

• Analyse, design, develop, implement, and support Equities Trading systems within a Banking and Finance environment.

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Banking & Financial Services IT.

• Proven experience in implementing and supporting Equities Trading systems in a front office or market technology environment.

• Strong experience with FIX Protocol (e.g. FIX 4.x / FIX 5.x) for trading and market connectivity.

• Strong technical and platform expertise in Equity/FX trading systems, market data platforms, SaaS/cloud implementations, and mobile application development.

• Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server, Oracle, Windows, Linux, shell scripting, messaging queues, JBoss, Apache, Tomcat, Java, J2EE, JSP/Servlets, FIX messaging, CORBA, React Native, iOS/Android deployment, DevOps tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket), and scheduling tools (Control-M).

• Skilled in setting up applications within newly provisioned environments, including network, storage, agents, databases, Aldon, Control-M, Splunk, Geneos, and other monitoring tools.

• Hands on experience with Message Queue (MQ) technologies for system integration.

• Solid working experience with Oracle databases (SQL, performance tuning, data analysis).

• Strong exposure to Linux / Unix environments, including shell scripting.
