Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in application support
• Strong understanding of application architecture and databases
• Experience with troubleshooting tools and ticketing systems
• Basic programming/scripting skills (e.g., .NET, JavaScript, Python, C#, C++)
• Database Skills including Oracle, Postgres, BigData Solutions
• Agentic AI Basic Core Skills
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Willingness to work on-site and provide on-call support during critical incidents
• Knowledge of incident management and root cause analysis
• Experience with Rest API, Web backend, SQL and No-SQL databases

Job Description

• Industry/ Organization Type: Industrial Automation
• Position Title: Field Application Engineer (Hybrid Working Arrangement)
• Working Location: Novena
• Working Hours: 5 days (Mon to Fri, 9AM to 6PM)
• Salary Package: Basic Salary up to $6,000 + AWS + Performance Bonus
• Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the sales team to support the pre-sales process, including product demonstrations, presentations, spec-in activities
• Provide technical advice on system architecture and configuration for Industrial Data Solutions (IDS) portfolio
• Offer technical assistance and guidance on usage for IDS products, addressing basic queries and issues before they are escalated to the support ticket system
• Conduct training sessions for distributors, partners, and end users on IDS products, covering both technical and applications aspects
• Gather and relay customer feedback to the product team to support continuous improvement and product roadmap
• Bridge between the product team in the US & Europe and our SEA distributors, ensuring that partners are continuously updated with the latest product knowledge and developments
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify new opportunities and support market development activities for IDS products
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Industrial Automation, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of working experience in a Technical Sales and Applications Engineering role, preferably within the industrial automation or industrial networking sectors
• Prior experience with control products in process industries such as O&G, Power, Renewable Energies, etc is highly desirable
• Hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols, PLCs, HMIs, or Industrial Ethernet switches is an advantage

• You'll participate in all aspects of the desktop/web development lifecycle for solution including designing, implementing, building, deploying, testing, and troubleshooting market issues to ensure high standard of application performance, uptime, scale, code quality and thoughtful design.

Responsibility

• Software Development: Designing, developing, testing, deploying and maintaining modular-based systems in accordance with best practices.
• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures.
• Agile Scrum Practices: Participate actively in Agile Scrum processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation of software components and systems.

Requirements

• Experience: 8+ years of experience in software development with a focus on Windows applications, web applications, and cloud services (optional).
• Proficient in C#, .NET framework, Java, and/or python.
• Experience with desktop applications such as Windows Forms, WPF.
• Proficient with web development frameworks such as HTML, CSS, JS, Angular, Vue.js, Node.js, RESTful API.
• Proficient with database management systems like relational DB, NoSQL.
• Experience with OOAD and/or UML.
• Experience with DevOps tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar CI/CD pipelines.
• Agile Methodologies: Proven experience with Agile Scrum development processes.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
