Overview

Our client is a Single Family Office established in 2019, managing a diversified multi-asset portfolio. Due to business expansion and long-term strategic growth plans, they are hiring an investment professional to support the Principal in managing and growing the portfolio.

While the title is “Manager,” this is fundamentally an analyst-driven role. Job description

• Develop and maintain client relationship relating with custody business and future potential business opportunities.
• Main contact person to liaise with Head office custody team. Understand strategic business direction, collaborate with front office stakeholders to achieve business targets
• Promote business development and cooperation across various areas such as deposits and loans, and achieve sales target KPIs consist of custody account opening, custody fees targets and Asset under Custody (AUC) targets.

• Engaged with internal stakeholders to line up the book of work, taking business priorities in consideration and driving timely deliveries across line of businesses
• Critical role where candidate will partner with core teams to lead time sensitive sales programs effectively while managing both business and technology stakeholders to help capitalize on best deliverables to grow the business
• Familiar with global custody business models and products, good customer relationships with sovereign, bank and non-bank clients, and understanding of cross-border institutional investment and QFI/CIBM channels.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with more than 10 years of working experience. Preference will be given to candidate with more than 5 years' relevant experience in sales activities related with custody, fund accounting and/or securities/fund operations in banking/brokerage sector.
• Knowledge of marketing, credit, acquisitions and product development.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
• Effective communication with good interpersonal, written and verbal skills in both English and Chinese so as to serve Chinese speaking customers. Must have ability to write in business Chinese for reporting to Head Office.
• Ability to conduct market research and excellent report writing ability in business Chinese.

We are seeking a high-calibre Manager, Investment & Asset Management to drive the financial performance and growth of our client's regional data centre portfolio.

This is a strategic role — you will lead end-to-end investment analysis, evaluate hyperscale and JV opportunities, optimise asset performance, and present directly to senior leadership and the Board. If you thrive in an analytical, fast-paced and high-impact environment, this role is for you.

What You Will Do

Investment Analysis & Financial Modelling

• Build sophisticated financial models for new data centres, hyperscale expansions, M&A, JV structures and redevelopment projects.

• Conduct deep-dive feasibility analysis: IRR, NPV, payback, sensitivity, utilisation ramp-up and PUE cost impact.

• Prepare high-quality investment papers and Board approval decks.

• Collaborate with engineering, commercial, and finance teams to validate assumptions (power, cooling, leasing, capacity).

Asset & Portfolio Performance

• Monitor and optimise portfolio performance: utilisation, MW yield, revenue per MW, EBITDA margins, ROIC and PUE efficiency.

• Recommend asset enhancement and repositioning strategies to improve profitability.

• Oversee lifecycle management including renewals, pricing strategies, energy optimisation and capex planning.

Management Accounting & Reporting

• Lead P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting for the data centre business.

• Perform variance analysis and develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts and long-term financial plans.

• Analyse cost drivers (power, cooling, maintenance, staffing, financing) and propose margin improvement initiatives.

• Track KPIs such as PUE, EBITDA, ROIC, MW yield and cash flow projections.

Presentation, Research & Stakeholder Engagement

• Produce best-in-class PowerPoint presentation decks for Investment Committee, Board, lenders and JV partners.

• Present financial insights and investment recommendations confidently.

• Conduct industry research on data centre trends, hyperscale demand, power pricing, ESG risks, regulatory landscape and competitor analysis.

• Develop dashboards and reporting packs for senior stakeholders.

Risk, Governance & Compliance

• Conduct investment risk assessments (tenant default, construction delays, power tariffs, ESG risks).

• Support due diligence, PPAs, financing documentation and lease contracts.

• Ensure strong corporate governance and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.

Leadership

• Lead and mentor a small team of finance professionals to elevate capability, modelling standards and analytical output.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering or related fields.

• CPA, CFA or FMVA certification is a strong advantage.

• Min 5 years’ experience in investment analysis, asset management, corporate finance, FP&A or management accounting, ideally within data centres, hyperscale, technology, engineering, energy, real estate or infrastructure.

• Exceptional financial modelling skills – mandatory.

• Advanced PowerPoint deck storytelling & presentation skills – mandatory.

• Strong research capability in data centre industry trends – mandatory.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present confidently to senior leadership and Board members.

2.  Administration:

• Oversee office administrative and procurement functions, including office services, supplies, insurance, IT, repair and maintenance, leasing and tenancy renewal, office improvement/renovation, and courier services.

• Maintain organized filing and documentation systems.

• Liaise with vendors, government agencies, insurers, and other service providers on corporate and administrative matters.

3. Property management:

• Liaise with vendors including government agencies, property agencies, property management company, insurers and so forth for property corporate matters.

• Manage administrative and corporate matters related to properties owned by the company.

• Coordinate with property agencies, management companies, government bodies, and insurers on property‑related issues.

4. Personal Assistant Support:

• Provide assistance to the Personal Assistant in supporting management, as required.
