The Hand pull Noodle Specialist is an artisanal culinary expert who provides live, on-site demonstrations of traditional hand-pulled noodle (la mian) crafting at the noodle station. Deployed on a scheduled or request basis (e.g. weekly), this specialist brings authentic Chinese culinary theatre to the dining experience, elevating the workplace dining atmosphere and connecting guests with a time-honored craft.

• Perform live hand-pulling noodle demonstrations at the noodle station for corporate diners

• Prepare dough and pull noodles to consistent thickness and texture standards per dish requirements

• Produce sufficient noodle quantities to meet daily service demands during deployment periods

• Educate and engage guests on the art and history of hand-pulled noodle making

• Collaborate with the Chef de Partie to coordinate noodle production with broth, topping, and assembly

• Train and familiarise kitchen staff with basic noodle handling and storage procedures

• Maintain the noodle demonstration area in a clean, visually appealing, and safe manner

• Adapt noodle styles (e.g. thick/thin la mian, broad noodles) based on menu requirements

• Ensure fresh noodles are properly stored if not used immediately

• Advise on ingredient sourcing (flour types, alkaline water ratios) for optimal noodle quality

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the operations of the centre including Student Recruitment, Publicity and Promotional Activities, Curriculum Planning
• Organize Special Community Events, Excursions, Plan and Implement Parent Collaboration Projects, Year End Concert/Graduation Concert.
• Plan and co-ordinate Innovative Projects in collaboration with Community partners, eg; Residents’ Committee, Primary schools, etc)
• Collaborate with staff in long-term planning.
• Participate in appraisal procedures and in-service training that provides personal, professional and career development.
• Offer and receive advice and guidance on issues which affect the whole school’s performance.
• To plan, design, implement, coordinate and evaluate curriculum, programme, lesson plan in accordance with The Orange Tree Preschool’s vision, mission and core values.
• Monitor and improve the quality of curriculum/programme through regular evaluation and coordinate/develop professional development sessions with teachers and continuous research.
• Review and mentor teachers’ preparations on lesson evaluations/reflections and children’s portfolios
• Conduct lesson observation, assessment and analysis to identify new development needs of teachers and recommend training needs/methods.
• To do opening and closing shift when necessary, amounting to a minimum of forty-four (44) hours in a week (excluding 1-hr lunch)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma in Pre-school Education - Leadership (DPE-L)
• At least 2 years of relevant supervisory experience in a childcare setting(Principal for any school)

OTHER INFORMATION:

·        Location: Tampines / River Valley  

·        Working Days/Hours: 5 days, including weekends (depends on outlet timing)

·        Salary: Up till $6,000 basic + bonus (salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications)
