MISSION

Under the authority of the English International Stream (EIS) Coordinator, the Kindergarten Teaching Assistant works alongside teachers to support the well-being, safety, and learning of young children. In particular, the Teaching Assistant is expected to:

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Kindergarten Teaching Assistant supports teachers in the daily organisation and supervision of pupils and contributes to the smooth and safe running of the school day. In particular, the Teaching Assistant is expected to:

• Supervise children during arrivals and departures

• Support children’s personal hygiene, including accompanying children to the toilet, supervising handwashing, and providing assistance where necessary

• Assist children during meals and snack times

• Support the organisation, sorting, and management of pupils’ work materials

• Ensure the cleaning, organisation, and appropriate storage of classroom and school equipment

• Capacity for initiative and a degree of autonomy within the framework defined by the teaching team
